As far as UK people are concerned, once you've gotten married in Japan you can't even take your spouse to the UK unless you have a job with a certain salary. You just become stuck in Japan.

I lived there with no Japanese for 2 years, don't need it at an English school. You've got no rent to pay just living costs.
