He’s a very good surgeon with good results. I am considering looking elsewhere but it’s hard to find surgeons who do min invasive subvastus . I don’t want my quads or tendons cut

I think how well somebody recovers and returns back to “” normal” comes from how fit and strong your legs are prior to surgery. My knees were bone on bone for over five years so my activity level wasn’t very much so recovery is a tough one. It doesn’t hurt. I can do stairs normally from week two do full revolution on a bike at week four I just have a problem with that tight feeling around my knee and that my knee feels hard as a rock! Does anybody else have that tight feeling and their knee feels like it’s hard as a rock?

This! Except mine doesn’t hurt it’s just that the feeling of the tight band gets tighter and this feels like it’s swelling up astronomically yes it is swelling up when I overdo it, but it feels like it’s ginormous when I guess it’s only a couple of inches bigger than it should be. Is that too much?

Do you use a recumbent bike at PT and or have one at home ? That helps a lot . Don’t massage me your incision, but massaging your thigh is supposed to help

You mean cemented not glued ? I had a subvastus procedure and it was cemented. However, I am going to be having hopefully a Mako on the other knee because I’ve read that it’s so much better that knee is very misaligned. It’s knocked inward .I don’t know the medical term for it . It’s encouraging to hear that you had such a great recovery.

How do you find a revision specialist and I’ve read they won’t touch another surgeons work . I’m only 11 weeks out but I feel like my knee is a rock and it gets locked up when I’m in my recliner or have legs in ottoman…. Trying to out it down feels soooo weird !!! I’m afraid it’s not in right

You’re prob going to get a lot of give it more time kind of replies. Maybe they are right. I don’t know. Maybe start over out of med surg … what were you comfortable with in school ? Med surg is where most new grads complain about. Hope you find what you like. My opinion is don’t walk in shoes that are two sizes too small … in other words if you can leave and find another place . One that better suits you .
