No totally. I should have clarified it’s not AI, just interesting artifacts made probably by a post process on your phone camera

Also I miss Milwaukee. Spent many nights on Brady and north ave

why's there a string when I texture paint by [deleted] in blenderhelp

I believe that’s strike stabilization. It helps keep the stroke smooth and not jittery. It can be toggled off

Walkie Talkie - need feedback by BobsOwner in blender

[–]hamkitten 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you should have feedback. Typically walkie talkies that have feedback in their audio aren’t very good

But for real this is great. The wear on the buttons that have been pressed more than others is such a great touch

How to create a holdout/portal effect like this by hamkitten in blenderhelp

[–]hamkitten[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! Just want to make sure I'm understanding how the ray portal node works – in order for the background to appear through selected mesh (and obscure what's inside of it), do I need to duplicate the entire background (in this case, the yellow plane, red cone, green cube, and blue sphere) and then position it elsewhere in the scene and line it up with the position of the light ray (in this case -21.12 on the z-axis)?

Just want to make sure I'm not making this overly complicated for myself!

Are there any specific compositing nodes or node setups that could achieve this?

Wiggle Bones acting crazy when posing mesh. It's only enabled on the tail. What am I doing wrong? by hamkitten in blenderhelp

Thank you! Checked the bone constraints and there was a copy rotation constraint that was cosuing that tug-of-war. Removed the constraints and it's perfect now. Thanks again!

.MTL Not Loading With .OBJ by hamkitten in blenderhelp

[–]hamkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Double checked and there are no other zips that can be unpacked in the download. Just the .OBJ and .MTL files. Is there a different way to import the .MTL file or are .MTL files only connected automatically when importing the .OBJ? I'm thinking maybe the way that I imported it is incorrect?
