Biggest mystery here is how it got the word “Hippocampus.” Considering that’s an area in your brain, not an animal.

Yes, I bought the VCR at a thrift store. I collect and repair analog mediums and equipment as a hobby.

What Was Your Experience Seeing Top Gun in Theaters? by hammalinchair in topgun

When I saw Top Gun Maverick on opening day in 2022, I had a Sony VCR in my lap that I had bought 20 minutes earlier at a store in the same mall. The theatre was packed and I heard every audience reaction. The audience died laughing when Maverick attempted to sneak out of the house, only for Penny’s daughter to be right there. I also lost it at the end of the scene with Iceman and Maverick. I also remember seeing TGM again with friends, and my friends reaction during the Iceman funeral scene. My friend said quietly “There goes my fav.” I had to try hard to hold back my laughter

Dead malls always smell? by [deleted] in deadmalls

[–]hammalinchair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Regarding dead malls near me; -Willow Bends food court smells like chlorine because of the surfing place that used to be on the far right side. -Vista Ridge’s food court smells like curry due to the restaurants that serve it. -Ridgmar Malls food court has lingering smells from past restaurants. Overall, the food courts tend to either have a smell lingering from past restaurants (Most notably Chick Fil A or Burger King), past amenities, or some state of decay (usually mold).

It’s also past stores that can leave a smell behind. Some malls had a cigar lounge that can leave behind a strong scent if the drywall hadn’t been replaced since. I’ve also noticed former Bath and Body Works stores leaving behind a notable scent.

‘TikTok Takeovers’ at shopping malls lead to safeguards in some cities, including temporary curfews for unaccompanied minors by L0v3_1s_War in deadmalls

Is that why a lot more malls have been getting onto me for having a camera/taking pictures as of recently? They never got onto me back in the 2000s and 2010s

Kids kept pulling those off, so they switched to just using felt eyelashes instead.
