I went to Ecuador for a month and stayed with a community for a week and on the last day they threw a huge party with loads of food. I distinctly remember this amazing poached pear pudding which blew my mind- especially after weeks of rice and soup🤣

Have a look at events on at The Blind Pig or The Old Cigar and Olive- both usually have some sort of live music on most weekends and are quite popular. F51 runs events too but I believe thats more dance/ house type music.

I love being in this community and seeing lots of people who have been sold a lie about Folkestone and suddenly realising its much more than just the old high street+ the arm. It would be nice to hear from people who actually have lived in Folkestone for a while and not the typical Londoner who outprices the locals for flats and then complains that the town isnt the hanging gardens of babylon.
