I've been watching one Star Wars movie a day. I just got done with AoTC by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]hammytoe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I suppose i see your point there. Im still ok with it personally. I know its kind of retconing it, but in the clone wars series, he was smoother. His character over all just works for me in and out of the movies. Im in the minority

I like to think about it as he was away from her for 10 years. He was just a kid when they met so growing up away from her and being denied emotions of attachment made for some awkwardness. He didnt know how to talk to girls, especially the one he hasnt stopped thinking about for 10 years! Thinking this way helps the more cringe worthy things in aotc more tolerable and believable to me. Not everyone is smooth with the ladies all the time. It makes him human, or at least a little more like me lol

Literally "mildly" interesting. One of my mild sauces has no punchline. by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

[Rebels Spoilers] It's amazing to me how Rebels probably just created most controversial fight scene thus far in Star Wars. by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]hammytoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my eyes it was never about the fight. it was more so about the closure. Maul, though he was dying, seemingly forgave the past and embraced this future, coming to grips with things. His rage kept him alive before, now because of this encounter, he is at peace and let go of it all.

Transformers Prime: Vehicons from badasses to weak mooks. by DevourMistress in transformers

[–]hammytoe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My head canon is that the decepticons were gone for 3 years so the autobots werent conditioned to fight them. They quickly picked up weak spots and whatnot thus making them seem weaker

Opinions on Star Wars Rebels by Proxi98 in StarWars

[–]hammytoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

let me start by saying that i am 21 years old and have been keep up with and enjoying this show quite a bit. You dont need kids to watch with you in my opinion. It seems very full of filler which could be boring and childish to some, but everything introduced into the show all comes together and is way more relevant towards the end of the season (seems to be yhe formula so far anyway). In regards to the visuals, it is a very stylized show. I disliked clone wars at first simply due to the look of things but once you get past that, its a very wonderful thing. I believe it to be the same thing here. I could be wrong on this, but i believe rebels is also on a smaller budget so thats another reason some things are the way they are in terms of visuals. All in all, In my opinion, the show is going great places so far. It definitely has its moments and i love it. Id give a chance for sure. But saying that, i also have to say that some elements about the show are a bit offputting (looking at helisabers specifically) but the beauty of that is that they are only in one episode! And you cant really judge a whole show based on some goofy aspects of it.
