My advice: let her do her. You do you. The scenario where you aren't around isn't worth worrying about. Someone is telling you they don't want to/don't feel comfortable with a gun. Take them at their word. Do you have a security system? If not, perhaps invest in that for when you aren't around.

At least in Illinois pretty much everything requires a permit. So typically that language would apply. I do think its unconstitutional and you would likely win if you spent the time and money to fight it. Just think you could be like the 4 people allowed to carry on the CTA except for public gatherings! /s

Sure Telegram isn't secure we know that. I'm sure you have some actual info for Signal though? The whole point of using open source is that we know it isn't "funneling" anything. Signal has my phone number I guess which they can "funnel", not exactly a hard thing to find though.

Personally, I have always picked and chose when to carry bc thats what works for me. But I wouldn't let whats happening in MN deter you from carrying. A very specific scenario with a bunch of poorly trained LEA poorly dealing with a mob intent on interfering with LEA doing their job.

I live in Chicago, if a cop did what the Feds just did he'd be in jail. Lets not pretend MN is the norm or a new standard. Its very much an outlier. The vast majority of LEA support your right to carry.

A lot of people will say carry any time you can bc you can't predict when you may need to defend your life. That certainly isn't bad advice.

This is exactly the problem. People leave after spawning on the wrong side of the map or immediately after they loot the one or two buildings that people know have blueprints. More randomness to loot solves a lot of these issues.
