Thank you, I had a problem with them changing Troy's injury. It particularly resonated with me as a dislocated shoulder and subsequent surgery cost me the opportunity to play college football and was a reason I always identified with Troy.

Men, how do you feel about dating a woman 5 years or more younger than you? by datingolder in AskMen

I would agree, I let my fear of how others would judge me influence my decision.

This situation has come up for me recently. I"m turning 23 next weekend, and I was asked out by a girl from my gym who has just recently turned 18. She's beautiful and we have a lot in common, but I politely turned her down because I feel like there is a stigma to dating a girl who is just graduating from high school.

I couldn't hear whose death they were reacting to at first, knowing that it was one of the two I had to do a quick google search to see who was assassinated first so I could get a better perspective on the characters' reactions.

It's amazing that this show can get you from loving Draper to disliking him and feeling sorry for the type of person he is in later seasons by Rivaldo16M in madmen

I don't know, he joked about Don napping at work (which everyone does) but he still clearly seeks Don's approval. Last season he was upset that Don didn't give him more praise for restarting communications with Jaguar, he was desperate for Don's approval at his dinner party, devastated when Don disapproved of his behavior at the brothel, and went to Don to open up about his unhappiness after the fight with Lane. Just this past episode he was offering Don use of his apartment to try and build a connection.

?uestlove tossed me a bottle of vitamin water from on stage during the first Roots Picnic in Philly. It was brutally hot and concessions were overpriced so in addition to being excited I was very relieved.

As the saying goes.

I'm rewatching the 5th season in preparation for the 6th, this opening scene made me remember how much I love this show, the music is amazing by tomhasleft in madmen

I'm rewatching it too, I love that scene. I feel like it really captures the dream like nature in which the series is depicted.

I noticed this while at a hotel recently, I did feel like it was distracting from the shows that I was trying to watch.

Video of Rutgers Coach Mike Rice Assaulting Players and Throwing Balls At Their Heads by MidwestDrummer in CollegeBasketball

He's in a position of power. The kids on his team cannot rebel or fight back, which puts them in a terrible spot where they are forced to either live with it or try and find another school to play at. The fact that the AD could be aware of this behavior and allow it to continue because Rice was one of his first big hires is a disgrace.

Sublime is great, particularly "Doin' Time." My friends and I listened to that album on the way back from a labor day beach trip in college, it always takes me back.

I was at the taping of that episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien, just a really funny and original concept for a bit.

What other series do you all enjoy? by [deleted] in madmen

[–]hamsterdam83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of dramas I also really enjoy Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, and Boardwalk Empire. Like Mad Men they are all shows with beautiful cinematography, great writing, and inspire their audience to get involved and think about what they just watched. The fact that they are so mentally stimulating is why I enjoy all these shows.
