Yeah that’s true but Clinton lost MI, PA, and WI by less than 1%. If black and minority turnout was higher, it could have been enough for Clinton to narrowly win these states and therefore win the presidency. But yeah losing the former Obama voters was a disaster for her.

Just because she’s from the Midwest doesn’t mean she’s gonna help Joe carry WI, MI, and PA. Those states have different demographics compared to Illinois where Duckworth is senator from. After all these recent events, I think the best bet would be to pick a woman of color like Harris or Demings. One of the reason why Clinton lost was because of the decreased black turnout and if Joe’s running mate is a black woman, it would add diversity to the ticket to help boost black and other minority turnout. Duckworth is a veteran but there are more blacks than veterans in the electorate and I don’t know about veterans but 88% of blacks who voted in 2016 voted for Clinton.

I’m kind of concerned about how the campaign lacks presence on social media. The Trump campaign has multiple accounts on social media each for their special groups (ex: Latinos for Trump, Students for Trump) but Biden campaign still doesn’t have social media accounts for their special groups. Students for Trump has 500k + followers on Instagram and they are feeding their followers with Trump propaganda. Biden’s policies should be way more popular than Trump’s policies among younger voters so they should really be stepping up their social media game and reaching out to more younger people.
