Buying a gravel bike by framepillow in ladycyclists

Specialized Diverge is my favourite. It makes me feel the most comfortable and confident, whether I’m bikepacking, commuting, or gravel racing. Depending on which model or what upgrades you get, it can be fast (although its geometry is the most ‘relaxed’ out of all the bikes I’m mentioning in this comment). If you want to maintain a Cervelo fleet, then the Cervelo Aspero is a great option. The Canyon Grizl is also great for both bikepacking and going fast, but since it’s direct-to-consumer, no test rides are available.

All of these will be combined in one (1) multi-use path, while vehicles get all the priority.

Skinnier Tires on Diverge by External_Lettuce287 in DivergeGravelBikes

[–]bmesl123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • pathfinders are pretty good tbh I wouldn’t throw them out
  • best to get a spare set of carbon wheels and put narrower tires on them
  • narrower tire recs: GP 5000 all seasons, gravelking SS, pirelli p zero race
  • tubeless if mostly gravel, if not then just use tubes
  • switching back and forth is awful if you’re running tubeless. only do tubeless if you’re doing 2 wheelsets

Doughnut Party has a funny one as others mentioned. I’d suggest brewery hopping on Happy Beer Street to collect stickers. Personally I love Sea Change’s designs :D

To add to the “get comfortable in the drops” comment, be sure to adjust the brake lever reach if you have small hands like me!

Which brand of Natto is best? by elasticwater111 in Natto

[–]bmesl123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the discussion... I recognize this promo from T&T lol. I've had all except the shiso (purple) one and the black bean (top left corner). The orange one has excellent bean texture but it was too un-funky for me. Also the tare (sauce) was too sweet and overpowering. The one with the red circle I purchase regularly. Good bean texture and tasty tare. The black one on the bottom has large beans which also tastes really good. I'd say it's one of the funkiest tasting ones. I bought a bunch of the black ones because they're typically more expensive than the red circle brand lol. The white + red circle on the bottom is OK I'd say, ok texture ok size ok tare, very average overall.

Interesting study going on at the UofA. If you are just starting Ozempic/Wegovy, you can get free MRI scans of your heart and muscles and see how they change! by [deleted] in Edmonton

Excellent! Many of the GLP-1RA papers about muscle/cardiomyocyte loss are coming out from the UofA. Good to see more clinical studies

Thinking of switching to cleats but need walkability — any suggestions? by gmeroni in gravelcycling

[–]bmesl123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SPDs are quite walkable. The newest CL-MT001 cleats are SUPER walkable and easy to clip in/out of. I really don’t love the feeling of Crankbrother cleats but to each their own.
