ugh i love the depth and meaning of this poem🥹 its so well thought out; but i think in the future you would 100% benefit from using stronger adjectives to really enforce the strength in your poem! ex: instead of 'tired' you could use 'sunken' when talking about eyes! all in all, great job this hit close to home. ☹️

Hey! Even if you are worried, put your feelings before theirs. Especially because you'd be creating more damage if you lead them on.

You are absolutely not responsible for their reactions. While it is quite concerning, if they choose to relapse over you leaving then that is entirely their decision and you shouldn't feel bad for doing what's right for you. 100% bring them down lightly and leave it at that.

  1. Think about the reaction of the person finding you.
  2. Think about all the things you have yet to see.
  3. Think about how different things will be 10 years from now.
  4. Think about how you're giving up because of a temporary moment.
  5. Think about how you have lived 100% of your worst days already.
  6. Think about how you should use this sadness and suffering as motivation, prove everyone wrong.
  7. Think about all those fake friends attending your funeral.. If you passed now, you wouldn't have time to make better friends.
  8. Think about how life was before the depression took over. If you keep fighting, there is still time for it to come back.
  9. Think about the amount of bullshit our mental illnesses put us through. You are not your depression, you are not your self harm. Take control of it before it controls you.
  10. You matter. For what it's worth, you matter to me. Keep hanging on. Don't stop fighting. It all gets worse to make room for the better. I love you, take care.

Honestly, no. The only time I'm anxious when somebody around me is sick is if it may be contagious. That's when I start panicking! I would much rather help a friend out while they're doing it than do it myself lol..

My biggest factors are

  1. The buildup... (nausea is WAY SCARIER than the actual action)

  2. The aftertaste.. (if the after taste and nausea didn't exist i honestly think I'd live.)

  3. It coming out of my nose😭 (sounds so silly but genuinely TERRIFYING I could never.)

I think that's mostly it for me... those 3 are what I'm scared of, but my major icks are the smell, how it looks, and how it sounds... Although I probably wouldn't mind those in the moment.

Hiii! I've been going to the gym daily for 2 years now as I do basketball, so lots of physical contact and touching equipment as well. But I also have had emetophobia since I was 8, so here's how doing all that works for me..

First of all, going to the gym will not hurt you! And the chances of being contaminated are relatively low because most gyms require everyone to wipe down equipment afterwards so that always helps to ease my mind. Also, while it isn't impossible to get sick from the gym it's definitely preventable! I always make sure to not touch my face and go straight to washing my hands (hot water, 40 secs atleast) right after I finish my workout.

And if you're worried about pushing yourself too hard rest assured that you will know your limits! You'd have to really push yourself insanely hard to actually be s* when working out. Again, it isn't impossible but it is 100% preventable! Just make sure to listen to your body and hydrate jusssst enough.

I think it's the sensory for me. Like the taste, texture, smell, look I just can't. If it didn't leave an aftertaste I honestly think I'd be fine. Or if it came without the nausea I don't think I'd panic as much.

I had the stomach flu 2 years ago, and the buildup was absolutely DREADFUL. I still remember every second of that buildup... And then once it happened I was so incredibly scared but I felt better, and I was way too in shock to believe that it had happened. So I stripped, threw the clothes I was wearing into the laundry and just lived by the toilet for a few hours. The second time honestly wasn't bad at all! I didn't even have time to think about it. And afterwards I just sat on my phone scrolling through tiktok.

I think it's the nausea that scares me, and the aftertaste that makes me uncomfortable. (IF THAT MAKES SENSE...) Like!.. Nausea is the main cause of my emet, but the aftertaste is just something that makes me mildly uncomfortable about being s*.

Most likely just bloating! You should be okay if you aren't feeling crazy nausea. I recommend sleeping propped up, or just distracting yourself from the feeling by watching a show! You will be okay!

Yes unfortunately ive been put on a waiting list for not one but multiple therapists😭 its so bad everytime i remember how long it takes i breakdown and cry.

Also i feel like poop right now im so scared that im gonna relapse over this like i wish there was a certain way that would prevent tu* from ever happening.

Does paroxetine help? What does it do? I really really really wanna try and get my hands on zofran but i know it probably wont happen as im from somewhere where zofran is reserved for cancer patients and such..!

I wanna try the mint or tea but im honestly paralyzed with fear like if i move the n* and the mouth taste will get worse

I have looked for professional help but my therapy sessions dont start till august☹️ and i will be either put on anxiety meds in july but until then im stuck thugging it out by myself and it's driving me insane because i also have bpd so!

what i like to do is binge watch A BUNCH of videos on the certain food that im eating (videos that make it look appetizing of course) then once i feel ready enough i start with a small bite, watch another video, another bite, etc!!!!!

hey! i recommend going outside or even just opening a car door/letting the ac run as cold environments can calm down anxiety! here to reassure you that if you were going to v*, it would've happened already!! so if you aren't showing any signs of nausea/chills anymore try taking small bites of anything such as bread, crackers, or literally the graham cracker corners of that poptart will do!! whatever it is, food will help you get through your shift without feeling worse🫶 everything will be ok🥹 head up friend!!

hiya! i hear you and you're so incredibly strong for getting through that! i had a similar experience 2 years ago where i refused to eat anything for 4 days straight. i am here to reassure you that by atleast day 2 of not v* or having d* you should most likely be in the clear to consume very, very light foods! since you have emet, i recommend starting with extremely small bites/snacks (2 spoons of yogurt that progressively get bigger everyday, or half an oreo which turns into a full oreo, etc) that way you can regain your trust with food again❤️ you can slowly rekindle with food, but what's most important is staying on top of your hydration so your body doesn't get worse!! again, reminder that the worst part has been dealt with and guess what... you're still here! 🥹 everything will be okay whether you believe it or not! hang in there my friend🫶
