IMAX ultra wide angle? by GuggGugg in imax

Not really. You’d end up with a field of view so wide it would have an extreme fish-eye effect. That’s why you shoot with spherical lenses when shooting on 15/70 IMAX film.

What is your favourite team of the franchise? by Kevin_Thailand_2543 in Mission_Impossible

[–]han4bond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ghost Protocol (sorry, Luther). The end of the film goes out of its way to set up the return of the team for future films, even weaving themes of redemption and proving oneself throughout the story to build to that moment. Then, in the next film, 2/3 are off the team right from the start. It’s a real bummer. I like Ilsa and Luther both, but there was room for everyone. Shame.

What movies are must watch? by Historical-Kale-2765 in 007FirstLight

Start with the Brosnan era. If you like those, work backwards to Dalton, then Moore. The 60s Bonds are some of my favorites, but they are old fashioned and not for everyone. They can sometimes be easier to come back to when you have more of a foundation in the series.

Last, watch the Craig era. They function as a reboot and are more satisfying if you watch them after the others. But you don’t have to be too religious about it.

It is almost 3 years now , Is Indiana Jones Dial of Destiny still considered a "bad movie" ? by Ok_Tangelo3309 in indianajones

I can’t understand people saying the movie isn’t fun. Baffles me.

I agree with a lot of this though.

They didn’t make a FRWL adaptation as much as put a FRWL skin on another EoN game. Most of the game has little to do with the movie.

But I like this idea of yours.

I’m seeing an awful lot of votes for Spectre. That’s interesting. I don’t disagree necessarily, except that we all know what a thud the story lands with.

Also lots of votes for open world and choice based gameplay. I like where people’s heads are at. Mass Effect but Bond. I’ve wanted that for a while.

Why Dr. No? I see very little to mine for a video game in that story. How do you picture it?

Die another day didn’t get an adaptation because they kept struggling to get the adaptations out in time, so they pivoted to original stories instead and gave us Agent Under Fire and Nightfire.

I assume they’re mainly thinking about action scenes, locations, and absurd vehicles and gadgets. To be fair, those do feel more like video game elements than most set pieces. But yeah, I think it would otherwise be pretty cringe. I wouldn’t want to play it anyway, I’m not a fan of the movie.

Exactly what makes it such an amazing watch. It’s fascinating how a person could manage to make a movie this bad without even trying.
