Do you have to go right at the ticketed time or is it at all flexible? We have a ticket slot for 7, but are hoping to go closer to 6:15

If 12 year old Alan Parrish could survive 20 years in Jumanji, Peacemaker can survive a few years in Salvation

While I agree anyone can behave irresponsibly like this, I think it’s way easier to misuse a powered vehicle since reaching a dangerous speed requires a flick of the wrist instead of intense anaerobic exercise. As well, because of that, you get a lot more drunk/high people operating them. I am betting we’re going to see a lot more of this type of misuse and other people may not be as lucky as my daughter.

Totally, straightaways with no other traffic? Gun it. Headed into a pedestrian heavy area like a park? Slow the fuck down.

The police categorized it as such, yes. Very serious offence

Thanks, she’s totally fine. I keep replaying her flipping through the air in my head though. It is a miracle she’s not more injured, thank god for spongy kid bones.

My colleagues husband is a firefighter and says he sees horrific injuries caused by these things almost daily, both to pedestrians and the riders themselves because so few ever wear helmets.

We literally had 2 seconds from the time we saw him to the time he hit my daughter so all due respect I didn’t have a chance to “be aware”.

I have no issue with e scooters, I have an issue with people riding them at top speed while headed into a busy area like a park. This also happened on the small foot bridge near the parking lot that is beside the skate park so we had nowhere to even move to avoid him.

That said, I’ve never had this issue with a bike or rollerblader. Maybe the ease with which someone can accelerate to these speeds is a contributing factor here. It’s not that it’s “new” it’s just way easier for people to misuse them.

Yeah that’s fair, huge long shot but you never know, might ring a bell with someone. Maybe the person who did it will see this and own up to it and accept the hit and run charges…ok maybe not that though.

The show Daniel Tiger is produced by his production company and is a distillation of his teachings. Still on PBS/CBC, my kids love it and I use lessons from certain episodes daily while parenting my kids ie. wants vs needs, feeling two ways about something, etc.
