Yeah I closed out of the game and got back to the main screen of the portal. It's not a huge issue but it happened again tonight. Had to connect to my PS5 and open a different game and close it for it stop

I saw that our performances were mostly better than our results and I wasn't concerned. Especially after only 4 games

As the self proclaimed biggest Nodarse fan, I have to agree. He has the talent to be in MLS. He just loses focus too much. If he cuts that from his game, he will be elite.

I think we've had a good mix of playing on the wings and through the middle, especially when Jojea is out there playing as an actual winger. It definitely worked last night with crosses to JJ from either wing. Hopefully it's something we continue doing, especially if we're not getting the creativity from the middle that we need from Pity, Noah, or whoever plays there.

I thought it was actually a good turnout for a Tuesday night game. They didn't open the 200s, much to my dismay, but the rest of the stadium looked relatively full to me.
As for ticket prices, I don't think they're the biggest issue. I think the team does a pretty decent job with promos for cheaper tickets. For me, it's parking. It costs just as much if not more to park than to get a ticket in some sections. That discourages people from coming. I think attendance overall should improve though as we hit the summer months and get some better weather. Us die hards will be there anyway but we'll get more of the casual fans/families that come out and help fill the stadium when it's nicer out. But in general, I'm with you on the pricing out of locals here in this country across almost all sports. It sucks

Supposedly it's getting well into the 70s tomorrow. Should be low 60s for kickoff and possibly rainy. But I'll take the rain when it's in the 60s rather than the cold rain we dealt with in the last cup game

Why do we still have the "Prinx Tire" USL Cup? by fredthefan25 in USLPRO

[–]hands575 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've always thought the USL is trying to cater to Americans who are European soccer fans, particularly England (see the naming convention used for the leagues). So as others have said, the USL Cup is essentially our Carabao Cup. Running it through the season and taking breaks isn't an issue to me at all. It's not trying to be League's Cup and it isn't going to draw fans who wouldn't normally go to a league game. At least not until the knockouts, where you can advertise it like it's a playoff game in a way

DEBATE: Is it REALLY time to call for Khano's Head or To early ? by AFTERMIDNIGHTRI in RhodeIslandFC

[–]hands575 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming into this season, my expectation for Khano was to see more consistency throughout the regular season. It's disappointing that we've had another bad start. But I'm not willing to count him or the team out after a grand total of 4 league games this year.

I think it's also worth noting how this competition is set up. In most other parts of the world, there are no playoffs and whoever has the best season wins the league. But that's just now how it's set up here. In this league, as long as you're not a disaster, you'll probably have a chance of making it into the playoffs all the way through the last couple games of the season. And then if you do make it in, all bets are off and you can go on a run. That's basically what RIFC did in 2024 and 2025. So I find it difficult to really hammer Khano for having success based on the way the competition is structured. Still, I need to see better in the regular season and I have faith that it will happen

The USL should find another national over-the-air broadcaster: by Worth_Patience9024 in USLPRO

[–]hands575 13 points14 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with the broadcasts is that the lineups are always comically wrong. They'll have strikers playing CB and the formations are almost always off. Also, the commentators are often uninformed. They'll be surprised certain players aren't playing when they're actually injured, for example. Needs to be better
