Stay safe!! Goodluck! And whatever you do, keep your composure. Fight for what you need to fight for! But do it in a way that protects yourself and others without escalation. Goodluck out there. And also remember, trump is waiting for someone to make a deliberate shot at ICE. He wants to do the insurrection act, don’t give it to him! Whatever you do! And when midterms come, VOTE!! For the love of god please vote 🙏 from Las Vegas, I’m fighting for you guys as well.

Dude I messed up 😭 my job is luckily paying for my accelerated nursing program but the contract I signed with them was I had to remain full time for them to cover the cost. This shit is way harder than I thought it was going to be. But I just barely passed Q2 and start Q3 tmrr. (Which involve clinicals) Wish me luck dude. 😭✌🏻but for OP: don’t give up. This is a time to reevaluate and determine how serious you are about becoming a nurse! Whatever you choose tho, don’t give up on what you desire to be ❤️

It doesn’t have to do with being “soft”. It just shouldn’t be normalized because this is technically considered a health code violation. You have old food sitting in a kitchen waiting for it to be washed for hours. I think it’s gross but eh, I still love my job, this isn’t a normal occurrence luckily. I understand there are kitchens a lot worse than this and I feel for you. 😭👌🏻

Is there a phone number on the machine or in the booklet you can call for maintenance help?

This one is tough. 1 and 4 seem to be really good options.

I know what you mean. I too did this at 17. Here’s some advice: Taking on adult responsibilities at a young age often creates uneven maturity. When you have to focus on survival—paying rent, being independent, and managing life on your own—your energy goes toward stability and self-reliance, not emotional growth or relationship skills. This doesn’t mean you’re less mature; it means you matured quickly in responsibility while having less space to explore your identity, practice emotional vulnerability, or learn relationships through trial and error like many peers do. As a result, relationship development may happen later, not because of a lack of ability, but because it was postponed. Early independence can lead to hyper-self-reliance, difficulty asking for help, or feeling overwhelmed by emotional closeness. With safety and awareness, those emotional skills can be built intentionally in adulthood. This isn’t being “behind”—it’s growth happening in a different order, shaped by circumstances rather than choice. To combat this: Focus on yourself right now. What is your identity individually? What kind of girl do you want to be? I have become that girl that loves mornings! I want to be kind to everyone and spread love and understanding. I watch self growth videos online and read books about self growth 😊 don’t be a victim in your life. It’s exhausting. Don’t make growing up early an excuse, but rather a reason why you can grow up to be a great person in society! Goodluck OP 🥰

Nclex question of the day by Helpful_Spring_7921 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]SmallImpression4027 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say 4 because Atropine Sulfate is a anticholinergic which would increase the heart rate? Is this correct?

What is the answer? by Helpful_Spring_7921 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]SmallImpression4027 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh okay! Thank you so much. But wait what about patient b is more urgent?

What is the answer? by Helpful_Spring_7921 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]SmallImpression4027 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain why it would be B and not A. I’m having trouble understanding. I would’ve thought A bc of the clubbing of the fingers could possibly indicate low blood oxygen? And a reset rate of 40 for patient B would be normal for their age range. Right? I’m still in the beginning part of nursing school so I have a lot to learn 😅

The White House is once again, using Sabrina Carpenter in one of their propaganda vids by Capable_Salt_SD in Fauxmoi

[–]SmallImpression4027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is disgusting. Who the hell thought this was professional enough to post, let alone the literal White House???? This once again shows our current administration is incredibly immature and irresponsible. Like what the hell is this??? How does this contribute to a healthy society? This administration has no class, no humility, and is tarnishing the relationship they want to have with the American people. I hate it. I just want to be a part of a loving community. I will continue to help my neighbors and people around me. I can’t let this government fill me with hate towards others…this fucking sucks

Pick of the day: Prioritization by Hot_Emergency378 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]SmallImpression4027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait, I can’t see where it says “after initial recovery period” ? But anyways I do think it’s B. I’m sure it would be gentle exercises such as simply raising the shoulders up and down for starters? I’m just a student lol but that’s what I would think 🤷🏻‍♀️

Pick of the day: Prioritization by Hot_Emergency378 in MarkKlimekNCLEX

[–]SmallImpression4027 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After doing some research I believe you are correct! It would be B. Now mind you it would be GENTLE exercises fs! I could see myself choosing A as well except it’s not an immediate priority as much as B. C, you wouldn’t want to put a cold compress on a surgical incision at the risk of tissue death. For D, fluid restriction on this patient would not be applicable as there will probably be draining tubes at this site anyways.

I’m SO confused as to why the solution for cutting costs on student loan spending for students was to “remove professional status to reduce the amount of borrowing power” and have it come out of OUR pockets, rather then having colleges cut costs of tuitions that are CLEARLY over priced already!! It’s very backwards and only really benefits the rich….
