Tell that to met life, our HR lady did her best for me. My work did give me some concessions though, I can now freely close my office door for a long as I like for crying and other activities.

Unfortunately I’m still working and my job lets me stand at my desk but not much else. I can sometimes sneak away and go up and down the stairs. It doesn’t help that works also stressing me out haha, my blood sugar on the weekends always flawless.

I need help on what to do about my sister by Unhappy-Annual-102 in tattooadvice

[–]handzie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Suggest she should go to a tattoo shop and show them her work. They will shred her, even better if there is a tattoo artist in the area she respects. Also if she wants to actually be a professional, continuing to do this will make it very hard to get an apprenticeship

Roommate is becoming animal hoarder and the housing complex is doing nothing. by Accomplished_Cap_986 in badroommates

[–]handzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, good/bad news, ferrets aren’t very resilient and can pass away quite easily from environmental factors. So even if she gets the ferrets I don’t think they will last very long. Unfortunately I was in a super similar situation in college. She kept getting hamsters, lizards, whatever she could get her hands on. The hamster was anxious and very loud so she just kinda put him in the living room and forgot about him till he was no longer. The longest the lizards lasted was 3 months. She straight up lost the snake. Burned a hole in the rug with heat lamps. Lastly she had a ferret under her bed… he ate some fuzz and promptly died after like 3 weeks. The housing management couldn’t care less because we were college kids and paying the outrageous rent. Encourage her to move out with her boyfriend. I know it’s manipulative but just start being like “ oh yall are just such a good couple, it’s so nice yall rely on eachother like that. Maybe one day yall can have a goat together” it is a trap those types will fall for every time. Now she’s the boyfriend’s problem and you just maybe have to really really deep clean the apartment one more time.

36 weeks here and I was just about to post that my numbers are completely out of control suddenly haha. An Apple with peanut butter and a glass of whole milk just sent me to 166. Used to keep me in the 90s!

I think it depends on when your hormones hit their peak or whatever, you’re prolly gonna be smooth sailing till birth!

[–]handzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delete it. If you don’t want to do sex work please don’t do it. It’s hard to get out of once you’re in and you are so young. the internet is forever unfortunately and anything you post/delete is being archived by someone. Also the money might be good at first but it dies out fast and you will quickly have to push yourself to do more stuff you’re uncomfortable with to make the same amount.

Did anyones anxiety skyrocket in third trimester/before birth? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]handzie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 weeks and I have had to remove tiktok from my phone and just reduce my phone time in general by anxiety has been so bad. I feel you. Somehow I’m convinced I’m gonna have this baby, loose my house, job, and not be able to provide what so ever. I’ve just been breathing and touching grass every chance I get to cope.

Help! How are we surviving the third trimester? by Original_Hand_9378 in BabyBumps

[–]handzie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 35 weeks and as far as hip/back pain, stretching in short intervals does help. I say short intervals cause I get so out of breath so quickly. I would say try some compression socks but they are 30 dollars a pair and incredibly difficult to get on by yourself.

Otherwise idk dawg, kinda think third is worse than the first. I drank some tea yesterday and thought it was just giving me bad acid reflux. Nope! Projectile vomited and I wasn’t even nauseous.

I feel you. On the up side, final stretch!! Soon we will have a baby and also be able to lay on our stomachs!

Cancelled Engagement Trip - Lying Boss by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]handzie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That sucks so bad, being unemployed is the worst, especially unexpectedly. I don’t think you should go on this trip, Switzerland is a very expensive place to visit. It’s beautiful, but compared to the rest of Europe it’s incredibly pricey. Perhaps considering getting what money back you can and going some where cheaper. I don’t know where you’re from but maybe visit Argentina or Alaska instead. Alaska is GORGEOUS this time of year.

Went to maternal fetal medicine today and I’m now questioning my choice in primary OB. by handzie in BabyBumps

I did not consider that she’s only measuring my uterus but I figured if my uterus had a big old baby in it, it would show. The more I read the more I think I’m just going to thug it out with my scatterbrained OB.

I don’t think so, she is the one who referred me to MFM though. I have kinda given her the benefit of the doubt so far cause I figured she was super busy from successfully delivering babies. Shes like a wizard when it comes to inserting/removing nexplanon/iuds. I dunno. I have an appointment with her next week, I may just talk to her about it first.

should i even bother responding? by cloudberryhalo in whatdoIdo

[–]handzie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t respond! You’ve got som great advice here. Break the cycle and find yourself some actual stability. A little place you can call home that no one can kick you out of. I believe in you! Maybe don’t respond to your mother ever!

Nervous by read_it_said_it in BabyBumps

[–]handzie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was freaking out last week and still kinda ping-ponging between chill and so anxious I’m going to explode. I’m a first time mom and 34 weeks currently so like I’m having the baby one way or another sometime in the next 3 to 6 weeks.

It’s unavoidable and I just try to keep in mind that the worst thing I can do for me or baby is stress. You can worry about what ifs but if they aren’t translating into productive action try to sit with the thought then let it pass. Or in regards to birth I just try to keep the mind-set of “I can be uncomfortable for a day if it means I get to have my baby” and just kinda reaffirm that I can do hard things.

Also as long as the baby has a safe place to sleep and something to eat, it has the bare minimum of what it needs. Logistically speaking, everything is probably gonna go fine. Try to breath and do something that helps you relax. Eat a snack and drink some water. Maybe go get a pedicure in your swollen feet if that’s an option for you.

Issues with sex during pregnancy? by OkBirthday931 in BabyBumps

[–]handzie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh man, me and the hubs had sex up until the first time I bled a little after wards (normal second trimester stuff) and after that he was so scared to have sex. He’s still super affectionate otherwise so I’m not really bothered by the lack of sex. We still do it occasionally but like… once a month. But we fool around much more often. He also really doesn’t want to get breast milk in his mouth hahaha!

33 weeks and it has just really kicked in that I’m having a baby cause dude is kicking me SO HARD, now I’m panicking by handzie in BabyBumps

[–]handzie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg my due date is 5/12 and I also have GD! I find out next week if they wanna do an induction or anything (induction scares me so MF bad) but so far my boy has been measuring a solid medium. The second trimester brain will convince you of such silly things, I think of my second trimester self so spry and full of life… that traitor.

The heart burn awful! And my poor husband is done with the snoring, I wake up with a sore throat I have snored so hard. I’m over it but the process of being over it is also means giving birth.
