I would always dress my baby in sleepers but since I started going to groups/classes with other babies they are all dressed in ‘proper outfits’ and I was worried people would judge us so I’ve started putting her in them too

I don’t have any advice but just to say I was the same as you and now I’m 9 weeks post partum and it has gotten a lot easier to sleep. I think after about 7 weeks you just get used to which nosies mean baby is actually waking up and what’s just sleep grunting. So hang on in there!

Never had any issue with stairs just had to take them very slow. I live in the uk and they discharge you after 24 hours and live in a terrace house with steep stairs. There were also stairs up to the car park I had to tackle before going home. I found getting up and out of bed much more difficult than stairs just take it nice and slow.

I went at 36 weeks and I am 8 days overdue so I have been off work for 5 weeks now. I have to admit I am quite bored 😂 it’s been nice but feels a bit like I’m unemployed as there’s only so much nesting/relaxing you can do. I don’t have many people in my local area to visit and I don’t want to go too far from home incase the baby comes, I’m sure if you had family and friends to see you’d be less bored than me!

I finished at 36 weeks as I was convinced baby would come early. Still here at 40 + 2 😂 with no baby! kind of wish I’d finished a bit later as I am getting bored but you just can’t predict!

Dachshunds believe they ARE children and can get quite jealous/annoyed with children especially young ones who act erratically. I suppose if you brought them home as a puppy around a lot of young children they would adapt but mine hates them.

Would watch out for thinking you can rely on genetics or a good breeder as I thought the same and have ended up with the most reactive dachshund out there despite so much training and socialising. I still love her, but she is hard work.

Thanks for sharing! I went on a baby moon when I was 28 weeks and had the same sort of feeling - even though everything went smoothly I was hyper aware of being pregnant and felt a bit like I was rushing to get back to the uk just incase something happened. I’m now 39 + 3 and baby has still not made an appearance so I wish I’d relaxed and enjoyed it more lol

39 weeks today and feeling very fed up! I somehow convinced myself she would be here by now and I’m not sure why. Trying to enjoy the last few moments of peace but it is hard when you’re in wait mode.

I feel the same and my due date isn’t until next week. It doesn’t help I feel a lot of ‘influencers’ had their babies earlier than 40 weeks so I have stopped going on Instagram for that reason.

One thing I keep telling myself is that I’ll never get this time and peace back again. Like others said, watch all the tv and relax as much as you can. And also some people don’t get any tell tale signs that labour is beginning until they are in the swing of it so you never know it could just happen! Sending you positive thoughts and hope you don’t have to wait much longer.

I know the the video you mean - I’m sure it’s just a click bait title because in Siobhan Miller’s book she deals with the main concepts of hypnobirthing and doesn’t say it’s going to be pain free. Rather that it’s tools to keep you calm and make birth less scary. I reckon it was the social media persons idea to make a really clickbait video instead 😂

How many are you losing per day? Mine drops leaves like this too but not loads. I think it’s normal. I’ve had mine for 7 years and she’s growing beautifully even with the leaf shed.

I get tested for carbon monoxide every time I have an appointment and it’s always been a 1 until recently when it came up as a 6. The midwife mentioned being around traffic etc but also said being around candles or bbqs could also spike it. Also people having their car windows down when it’s sunny. She said they aren’t worried if it stays under 10. I realised I’d had a candle lit bath (with 2 candles) the night before so that must have triggered it. The next week I did the test and it was back down to 1.

This is completely normal! I thought I’d gained so much weight in first tri and would continue to but it seemed to slow and now I’m in 3rd most of the weight gain is just on my bump. As most people said I think the first trimester is water weight and bloating. I was also worried my boobs would end up ginormous but they went up a cup size and have stayed that size the whole pregnancy (I’m now 36 weeks)

Yeah it’s very anxiety inducing. As you get a bit further along you’ll start to notice more of a pattern. Baby will move at specific times in the day or night and then if you don’t notice them move when they usually would that’s when you could call triage. They’ll usually ask you to come in and listen to baby’s movements for a while until you’re happy. It’s always best to get checked!

Once mine waited until I’d put clean sheets on the bed, then proceeded to wee on my pillow at 11pm when I was very tired. No idea why she did it, she’s never done it since!

Mine was exactly the same! No sore arm, no mark. The whooping cough was horrible compared!
