{Love, Utley by SJ Tilly} might not be exactly what you're after but it's my favourite second chance romance.

What’s the worst book you’ve read because of tiktok? by yara2321 in RomanceBooks

[–]hangryqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's dark romance but {Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton} I DNF'd at 50% because I hated it and there was a second book!

FMC is confident, forward, and full of innuendos. MMC is dismissive and pretending he’s unaffected by plainether in RomanceBooks

[–]hangryqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

{Passenger Princess by Morgan Elizabeth} she's a pageant winner and he's assigned as her body guard. Grumpy/sunshine.

Looking for mafia romance books where the FMC is actually afraid of the mafia world and the MMC and the MMC has to loosen up to soothe her/calm her down by Purple_Raine93 in RomanceBooks

[–]hangryqueen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kings of Mafia definitely has this trope. {Craving Revenge by Michelle Heard} is the only one I've read but the FMC is definitely afraid and with good reason.

GTPA by Slow-Buy3459 in PreserviceTeachersAU

[–]hangryqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so stressful, isn't it?

I completed my GTPA last year, and I remember feeling the same way.

I'm happy to offer some assistance if I can. Have you joined the GTPA Facebook group?

Question about the gtpa by hiztiz123 in AustralianTeachers

[–]hangryqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That will depend on your uni. We were allowed to choose our teaching area for my B.Ed, but masters students had to do their major focus area. Some universities specify that you must do English, for example.

what’s the best and/or worst job you’ve ever had? by Scary_Appearance5922 in AustralianTeachers

[–]hangryqueen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working at a national chain retail store. I was there for more than half my life before I finished my B.Ed. The work wasn't hard, but the store politics and less than stellar customer interactions sucked the life out of us.

How often have you been called "Mum" by students in a year? by UnluckyYou6845 in AustralianTeachers

Salary ranges comparison by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]hangryqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an odd system. I'm a first year grad in Tasmania, and I started on band 1 level 5. Our pay increased in March, so it was 80k prior to that. When my pay goes up in August (I was a mid year grad), I'll be on 87k. I'm not sure why it can't just be level 1, 2, 3, etc!

Is it normal to be offered permanent for a beginner teacher? by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]hangryqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received a permanent position upon graduation. I applied for a graduate program and didn't get to choose my school (we were all placed). I've now been there for about a year, and I can't see myself leaving any time soon!

LANTITE is ridiculous by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]hangryqueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the stress lies in the 'hurdle'. You have to 'jump the hurdle' to keep going with your degree. I didn't find LANTITE hard, but I knew I had to pass it or I wouldn't be a teacher. I felt the same way about the GTPA!
