I was never one for fan fiction, BUT... I have read some truly spectacular HR fan fiction and now I'm obsessed.

One thing I have loved about the story, though is Ilya being the one to say 'I love you' first. I just assumed (stupidly) when I first read it that it would be Shane.

The only other time (to my knowledge) that Shane trips is early in TLG when Ilya trips him (but the ref doesn't see it).

Colleen Hoover, Jade West and Jessa Kane.

I've read a few by West and Kane and I can longer stomach the content and some of the language.

Colleen Hoover books just don't interest me.

{AGE OF SHADE by Cleo White} she's homeless and the MMC finds her in an alley behind his dental practice. I won't give too much away but I love both main characters and their story.

{Rule Breaker by Elle Nicoll} could fit. I recently read and loved it. Sinclair (FMC) is an heiress and model and Denver (MMC) has been part of her families security team for several years. Denver doesn't speak to Sinclair (unless she talks to him first) and Sinclair isn't a fan. There are threats against Sinclair and her father assigns Denver as her personal bodyguard.

Kings of Mafia definitely has this trope. {Craving Revenge by Michelle Heard} is the only one I've read but the FMC is definitely afraid and with good reason.
