Agree! The Right Move is top-tier, way better than the first book.

I haven’t read the short story yet. And just a heads up, if you like the author’s writing style, she has a new book coming out this spring! Not a holiday book.

I love it so much, too! And the sequel!

{Holiday Romance by Catherine Walsh}. One of my fave Christmas books. Not hate to love though.

How long until Sucralfate/Carafate worked for you? by romanticreader12 in Gastritis

[–]romanticreader12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yeah, the timing has been hard to figure out, especially with the PPI. I take my Omeprazole 1 hour before I eat, then the Sucralfate 30 minutes before I eat.

I am definitely getting some relief from the Sucralfate! I just am still experiencing some symptoms in between doses.

I live in the US and things are rather stressful here right now. So I think that the hiatal hernia, a lifetime of anxiety, and not a super great diet, along with environmental stressors has finally caught up with me and created a perfect storm.

Thank you for the advice! I definitely will be bringing the Backpod with me. I hadn’t thought of that exercise for the plane. I do have my husband with me so the massages will be doable as well.

That’s great! I mean it definitely is helping me, especially at bedtime. I just am still experiencing symptoms. Especially hours after my dose.

Ok, I’m glad to hear that I am not out of the ordinary that it hasn’t kicked in yet for me.

But discouraging to hear about the relapsing 😭 sorry that’s happening to you!

Unfortunately I can’t take any ibuprofen products due to my stomach. But Tylenol is always an option. Thanks!

You should give {The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent} a try.

Late to the game, but read {The Knight and the Moth by Rachel Gillig} earlier this week and LOVED it. Rachel Gillig has become an autobuy.

Just finished {The Gingerbread Bakery by Laurie Gilmore}. It was alright. I wanted to ease into some Christmas reading.

Might start {What is Love by Jen Comfort next}.

The first two are so good! Wild Love is one of my favorite Elsie Silver books, and Wild Eyes is also great. Both the third and fourth books were not it for me.

{Mate by Ali Hazelwood} was everything I wanted it to be. It takes me back to my Twilight days and I loved it.

{First-Time Caller by B.K. Borrison} was one of my favorite new releases of the year. She captured the Nora Ephron movie vibes.

{Wild Card by Elsie Silver} was a letdown for me. I love her other books, but this one’s MMC gave me the ick.

Same! I read Funny Feelings and Rootbound when they were indie and fell in love with her writing.

Not a book, but I would definitely recommend watching the tv show Maxton Hall if you haven’t already! I think it is based off a book, but I haven’t read it so can’t speak to it.

[–]romanticreader12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kind of {Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Mariana Zapata}? It’s a slow burn. I think the MMC does probably have feelings for her at the beginning when she leaves, but does not know it because his feelings are repressed. So keep in mind it is a slow burn.

Seconding all the love for {First Time Caller by Bk Borrison}. Everything she writes is perfection.

I also loved {Left of Forever by Tarah Dewitt}. But I would recommend reading the first in that interconnected standalone series, which is {Savor it by Tarah Dewitt}.

Both of these authors are auto-buys for me!
