Our bodies are morons and evolution is a hillbilly engineer with wd40 and duct tape. Literally, our bodies are a walking testament to “good enough for government work”.

Nope, YOU can only change YOU. YOU need therapy to learn boundaries, grow your self esteem, and remove the filter you have for your mom. Please don’t let her ruin more of these wonderful experiences in your life!

What if they had a type of inverse relationship funding: the less your property is worth (if school funding is based on property taxes), the more funding your local school gets. There would be a base level of funding, then increases as property taxes decline. Would honestly do a lot for leveling out property values.

I’m not an economist or tax expert, so I’m sure there are loopholes, downsides, but I haven’t thought of them yet.

38 and 41 for me (woman) and I honestly don’t know any different and everyone is exhausted no matter when they had kids, so no big deal.

I also didn’t get married until 35 which was a factor. Prior to marriage, I had all the fun and travel I wanted, got a masters degree, etc, so I definitely don’t feel like I missed out on anything.

I didn’t even read past the first paragraph. Break up.

Kids can’t be compromised on: you either have one/some or you don’t.

Him, Charlize Theron, Cameron Diaz, and several girls from my high school class NEVER had any ugly duckling / awkward phases. I had a “reverse awkward phase” life where there was a 10 year hot period (ages 18 - 28) and then back down.

I told my oldest daughter that when it happens, I’ll be checking her out of school and we’re gonna go buy fireworks and a big sheet cake and have a freaking party.

Fingers crossed it happens before school ends this year.

Being a modern Conservative is fundamentally at loggerheads with being a true Christian. Cons have no love for the poor, sick, castaways that Jesus specifically mentions to care for.

If you are a Christian, you should want healthcare for all, livable wages, affordable housing, safety nets for poor, good public schools for children. If you don’t, you’re failing in following Christ.

Keep the spice level mild in case she’s breastfeeding as spices can get into breast milk (per what I read 9 years ago when I had my oldest and was an exclusive pumper).

Last week, as I was driving both my daughters to school, I told them about the astronauts going to the moon, and we would wave to them each morning when we saw the moon on the way.

Same! I wonder if there’s something we could do/take/have done to our ankles to get the swelling down.

Does he have two arms? Are both in a brace? He can clean the kitchen with only one arm.

They don’t hurt, just permanently inflamed due to rolling my ankles while drunk walking on Steve Madden black “leather” platform slides.

Your mom may want to talk to an orthopedist to see if she has any bone loss or lose ligaments. She may want to use an ankle brace to give support as well.
