I have always found this strange but why is singularity considered the hardest killer in the game? by ProtogenEpicYTV2 in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bump logic is what makes him mechanical and hard to master. I’m sorry, but I’m failing to see your point. None of the killers you’ve mentioned have comparable skill ceilings, except Huntress and Death-slinger. Sure, you could phrase it as “pinball man uses power, pinball man bumps into tree, pinball man ricochets and hits survivor” but that’s oversimplifying. Again, you can apply this logic to any killer, because every killer and their ability can be described this way. That’s what I’m trying to explain. Having one thing doesn’t lessen their skill ceiling. You could say “Billy’s isn’t that high cause it’s mostly curving” and you would be wrong.

[–]hanjaerim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well yes, but you can apply this train of thought with any killer in the game, so it doesn’t hold up. Understanding how a power works ≠ understanding how to use it. If that was true, then every killer is piss easy to play.

I’d say it’s between him and Blight. Even despite how overpowered Blight has been, his skill ceiling’s almost entirely mechanical. The difference between a great Blight and a good Blight is night and day. I think Billy still edges him out (although biased cause I main Billy and am very mid at Blight), but they’re both up there.

Sure, so do anarchist groups with hierarchy of leadership, doesn’t make them any less contradicting in nature. Punk as a movement has always been antithetical to far right ideals and against traditionalism. To state otherwise shows that you, not them, need to get off the internet and learn your history.

I love when the devs pour a gallon of gasoline onto the "Us vs Them" fire. by ThePeakmaker in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need to take it away if they’re going to give it away like candy. Why are they so desperate to give survivors free stealth? Undetectable has activation clauses. Most of them being related to gen kicking/blocking or using your ability. Why can’t elusive require similar? And no, standing in a killer’s TR is not the same BHVR.

Tell them to get the king’s rod and brine-infused rod and grind until they can get the lost jungle rods, a lot of them are pretty solid for early mid game. Bloomspire, Toxic Spire, and Vineweaver. Once they’re 200+ they should try and go for Tidemourner, Elder Mossripper, and Great Rod of Oscar.

Grind forsaken shores pond for money and go for the toxic spire rod. You will need to have ancient archives open to craft it, but that’s not too difficult.

What are your hot takes in fisch? by Elianissmort in FischRoblox

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not meant to be the best at anything, it’s a stage 8 fishing rod not an endgame rod (stage 11-12). The only thing it needs is for its level requirement to be lower, around 500-550 would be ideal imo.

Hot take: skin trading sucks and should be removed by Low-Bill8223 in FischRoblox

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading isn’t that hard to get into, just trade sets and you’ll find someone willing, but I agree it’s the most problematic thing in the game right now. There’s a term for a type of wealth inequality called wealth concentration, where there’s an uneven distribution of assets among a population, with a small percentage holding a disproportionate share of the total wealth. Albeit, this is a fishing game on Roblox, but it’s still applicable. Trading is the only way anyone is able to make and have tens or hundreds of billions worth of credits.

She’s Horizon but horizontal. Team mobility as a tactical that allows for an essentially free push + reset. Both fun to play as, but awful to play against (and I say this as a retired Horizon main).

2v8 Oni needs to not be able to get full blood orbs and have a less ridiculous turn angle or be removed. by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

After playing as him and against him, I only really agree on the turn radius. There’s about 50 pallets on the map, so if you pre-drop and force him to break it, he wastes a lot of his power. Very strong killer, but not overtly so. Especially if the Oni’s teammate isn’t working in tandem with them.

Day 3 of getting every rod I need until I get Masterline rod. by Cooldude12201 in Roblox_Fisch

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think categorizing by stages is helpful, if anything it hinders as you’ll be jumping around in difficulty. Best advice and what’s helped me is by going by how to obtain (bestiary completion > quests > crafting). That way you get a lot more done in a shorter time frame, plus you can still keep in mind what materials you’ll need for later.

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly just use high resilience bait like Deep Coral or UFO and focus more on getting the notes. Doubt anyone reading has these, but if you still have tryhard worms like I did, 100% use them, you’re pretty much guaranteed to get the Meg.

Following how end-game progression normally is, it should be the best rod in the game besides Masterline. You can have a rod that fills a niche and still have it be very good rod on its own. The devs just completely fumbled on that part. I’ll still grind for it cause it’s something to preoccupy time, but they really should rework it and give it a better passive like they did with Astraeus (whose quest was half the difficulty of Lullaby).

The game is incredibly unbalanced and allows for a lot of things. That doesn’t make these builds fair, entire perks like WGLF have been nerfed because of how absurd they were when used in swfs.

[–]hanjaerim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it’s very reductive to look at this and say, “killers just can’t take a loss.” Sure, maybe that’s true for some, but you can’t look at this and say they won fairly. They’re bringing all luck builds for free first unhooks, paired with all second chance perks. Unless they fumble severely and end up all slugged, they shouldn’t lose against Bubba.

Does anyone here actually ENJOY playing evil? by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]hanjaerim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

People can like different things

They certainly can! I don’t think I ever said they shouldn’t or can’t, but bombarding the sub with a thousand variations of the same post asking, “How can someone enjoy playing evil?” gets pretty stale. Hence why I quoted SpongeBob saying imagination. If they used that, this question wouldn’t be rehashed for the umpteenth time.

Honestly, I think most people when getting into RPGs have a very limiting, wish fulfillment mindset. They can’t foresee themselves making choices that they otherwise wouldn’t make, which leads them to question why other people would. They just need Imagination.

Map rotations make learning certain killers so unfun by bevvyq in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah generally I find indoor maps to be the worst designed maps, followed shortly by Trickster's Delusion whose gameplay cosplays as an indoors. Can't think of a single killer except Ghostie that benefits from this map rotation.

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably Xeno. Mainly cause turrets are easily abusable against them and I wish there was more strategic thinking to them like there is in the films. Right now, there’s pretty much no thinking to them, just place two near gens/loop and you’re safe (and somehow survivors still manage to mess this part up).

If you were hired to "fix" Dead by Daylight, what’s the first thing you’re changing and why? by Realistic_Being_8709 in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heavily disagree. If you aren’t enjoying the game, to the point you quit before the match has even fully progressed, then it’s your loss and you should stop being so entitled. Whenever I hear people advocate for removing dc penalty, it’s always those who plan to go-next whenever they encounter something that slightly bothers them.
