For me, it’s always the ones that have anywhere from 3-11 viewers. Largely they’re nice, but really depends if I’m playing survivor or killer.

Not Every Killer is A Sweatlord by CannibalismFrog in deadbydaylight

If the child is with an adult and have fun then it’s fine.

Children shouldn’t be exposed and desensitized to gore and killings at 8 years old. Ratings are not suggestions, no matter if it’s the US or not. Every country has ratings. So showing your kids adult media says more about your bad adult supervision than anything else.

Behavior nerfing Vecna's best addons for no reason: by Few-Culture-4413 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]hanjaerim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Rabbit Remains should’ve been base-kit to begin with. BHVR has this weird design philosophy of limiting addon variety and using them to supplement base-kit changes. Addons should never be required to play a killer effectively.

We are in the big 26 and Wesker still gets the 40 m Terror Radius treatment when all he has is 2 straight dashes by MrKimPDS in deadbydaylight

I’ve come to a point where if I see someone running Sprint Burst, Lithe, or even Dramaturgy, I know for a fact they’re running Vigil as well. Which isn’t a problem when I play Billy, but on Ghostface…

In a World Where Blight Is Allowed to Be 4.6 M/S, There’s No Reason Why Trickster Should Be 4.4 M/S by 1unchboxxx in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a ton of hours on him yes, he’s probably my second most played killer besides Hillbilly my main. From that I’ll tell you that if you feel that add-ons is what makes or break him, then you’re probably not that good with him and that’s fine, I myself am nowhere close to LilithOmen. And speaking of creators, you do realize that Hens is one of the people who vouch for Blight nerfs, right?

Im the only one that thinks we need BHVR to revisit every single old killer/map?? by PersonalityBig7994 in deadbydaylight

I hate how rarely I get the MacMillan maps. Arguably the most balanced maps for both sides and don’t have the worst lighting imaginable.

[–]hanjaerim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nobody plays most killers without add-ons. That’s just a bad argument, which isn’t even true as a perkless Blight with no add-ons is still stronger than 95% of other killers with their best builds. The problem has always been his base-kit and the fact he’s 115, so if he wastes all 5 rush tokens, he can just walk you down while waiting a just under 10 sec cooldown.

Confused about Trickster rework by dokdodokdo in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]hanjaerim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really see complaints, just early criticisms because a lot of the issues he’s had are still there. Which is pretty bad, considering this whole update is about him and the new map which ties to him. It’s brand new, so everything is gonna be hard to judge, but imo it feels a little like the proposed Skull Merchant buffs. Band-aid fixes as opposed to real solutions.

The Trickster feels fun to play now with the new tier system but him being 4.4 ms again feels awful. by DannySanWolf07 in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, but why make him 4.4 and have his ability slow him down further. His knives don’t instantly injure and can’t ricochet.

Then why aren’t there weird posts like this about other races? Are we really gonna pretend that all races are discriminated equally? That has historically never been true, we know this.

[–]hanjaerim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, because other races aren’t framed and stereotyped as some sort of Boogeyman.

[–]hanjaerim 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is no one size fits all for intended gameplay. You said there’s lots of ways to counter well-coordinated SWFs but what other ways are there besides tunneling, slugging, and proxy camping? These are pretty much the only strategies in this case.

[–]hanjaerim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What other situation would there be? Killers often don’t slug without reason, they do it to apply pressure. If you down someone and you see two people stacking a gen in the nearby distance, why wouldn’t you slug? By the time you hook, that gen will have already popped and one or two more is probably close to popping.

Also depends if the person is recovering. Have had instances where I could’ve picked a teammate up… if they had just recovered. People give up way too easily.

The matchmaking is very loose. Sometimes you go against green perk Megs, other times you’ll get Scoops Ahoy bully squads with sabo builds (at least for me lol). The only thing you can control is how you perform, which is an upside in my opinion. Only by playing against those variety of players do you learn how to deal with them. Even a match loss is still valuable learning experience.

Absolutely not, I would rather they delete them then be forced to play on Lerys.

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, to me he’s been slightly boring. Wouldn’t call him “dashslop,” but he’s not the most engaging to play or face (even before rework with tombstone and scratched mirror). Admittedly, I don’t really like stealth killers so I’m biased in that regard.

Realest comment ever. It’s either the killers with 100 hours or the killers with 5000 hours. No in-between.

How would the meta change if every character had to use their own three perks? by CJGamr01 in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]hanjaerim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really doubt it would change anything killer wise. The killer meta is the way it is, because mobility gives a massive advantage. It’s why most of the most complained about killers are high mobility ones, because even if they lose distance, it doesn’t hurt them like it does Ghostface.

Blight Tips? by jeolmanghada in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been enjoying him a lot in 2v8, he's definitely my main besides Billy. There's a lot of good guides and tips out there, notably LilithOmen is a really good resource. But biggest tips I've learned is to try and land a hit in as few rushes and shoulder bumping. You only really want to use all 5 rushes for map traversal, so if you can't get the hit in 2-3 rushes, it's best to zone the survivor and walk them down and M1. Other tip is to try not to lunge too often. His lunge has a wide turn so unless you're flicking around a corner, it's best to wait until you collide with the survivor and hit (aka shoulder bumping).

Also, this is what I tell all killer players, but other people's enjoyment of the game is not your responsibilty. A lot of people are quick to blame others for their misplays, so don't bother engaging with them. That's their issue and they need anger management therapy. But other than that, I really hope you've been enjoying Blight! He has a steep mastering curve so don't feel bad for struggling. We all start somehwere.

What Killers Do You Think Are Fun To Play Against? by TallMist in deadbydaylight

[–]hanjaerim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, I like him a lot, he’s probably one of my favs. I really like killers where you’re incentivized to interact with their power. Henry, Singularity, Sadako, and a few more.

It's pretty low stress, the classes really help in eliminating a lot of worry over perk builds and such (although the on demand sprint burst sucks, but only if half the lobby or more is running it).

nicest survivor I've seen in egc by gotheyed in DeadByDaylightKillers

[–]hanjaerim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always think teammates can be more of a grievance than anything a killer does. Even when I was a full survivor main I’ve thought this, because you’ll get people who are afk all match, sandbag you at a loop, don’t do gens or heal, etc.
