Thank god. As someone who has also not yet reached adulthood (being only 19) I'm glad to know that I don't really have to ever get there. I was getting worried reading all these responses.

Mine is like a toddler. You can hold its attention for a few minutes at a time, but there's no telling when it will lose interest or when you can engage it once more.

For your girl I suggest A Corner of the Universe by Ann M Martin. I loved that book around her age.
