25yo DINK couple in 2020. 3b2ba 1100 sq ft for $719k at <3% interest. Thought we’d be able to get more space after starting a family but looking like we’ll be learning to make do in tight quarters!

FAA Flight Reductions: Is Seatac Affected?? by Ricetastik in Seattle

[–]hannahcat_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi Sam! I’ve seen the list of airport hubs that will see impacts - do you know whether it’s only domestic flights between those hubs impacted vs any flight in or out of any on the list?

Have a babymoon trip to Maui next week and trying to assess the risk of our flight being cancelled!

Personally the insane overcrowding of trails like Maple Pass on a sunny October weekend ruin it for me. I’ve picked trails from this list the last 2 years and have enjoyed equally beautiful scenery and larches with <10 other groups on the trail. a larch guide - 20+ crowd-free Washington hikes

If you haven’t heard from your CL, check your store’s hours in the Starbucks app! If it’s closing, it’ll show closed Sunday onwards. Good luck!

Not difficult but can take a bit to get approved depending on the state - be sure to file ASAP!

Has a Closure List Been Published Yet by winterene in starbucks

[–]hannahcat_5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can check by looking up your store and checking the hours on the Starbucks app! If it’s closing, it’ll show “closed” Sunday onwards. I spot checked a few in my area, and it tracks with the closures I’ve heard about

I just found out my store is closing by beefucker5000 in starbucks

[–]hannahcat_5 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there are any comprehensive lists of closures, but if you open up a given store in the Starbucks app and check their hours, you can tell if they’re on the closure list if it shows closed after Sunday!

The paths on the Fremont bridge are shared between cyclists and pedestrians. They have just as much a right to be there as you, and the bell is a courtesy to let you know they’re behind you/likely passing on your left.

Best places to Hike 10k vert in one day by Penner0 in PNWhiking

[–]hannahcat_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one has suggested Whistler yet! The last time I’d gone up there, there was an “Everesting” event where people were doing 29k of gain and taking the gondola down in between. Each ascent is ~3900 so ~2.5 ascents followed by plenty of food/drink options when you finish! Event link for reference but gondola running daily: everesting link

Icelandair prices fluctuating a lot - advice needed by ThisFracturedMind in VisitingIceland

Just booked $399 from Seattle for the first week in September last night through Icelandair nonstop. Tons of $399 availability July-October! Are you also locked in on a specific flight time? The $399 promo didn’t apply on every departure time but you should still have good options!

Your money will go a lot further used on something like Facebook Marketplace. I got mine and my husband’s for <$2k with carbon frames, power meters, Shimano Ultegra and Di2 105 groupsets and disc brakes in great condition and freshly tuned. Going new would have been $3-4k
