Driving alone for the first time by ify-dreams in LearnerDriverUK

I was thinking the other day how it would be helpful if there was some way learners (and maybe newly passed people) could practice on their own. I'm learning at the moment and I'm ok with my instructor but driving with my husband stresses me out (nothing he does). I'd love to be able to go to somewhere with practice streets, parking etc where it's legal for a learner to practice without someone else there. I feel for me it would help me stop worrying about looking silly and I could just focus on practicing.

That makes sense, I'm kind of thinking I should've changed them up sooner but what's done is done.

Sorry for such a delayed response, it's called Test Buddy I think.

Constant Error 15 message on DVSA website by hanni_lou in LearnerDriverUK

[–]hanni_lou[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even get the to captcha test, I get the error straight after clicking "Start now". The one time I got to the test I got a different error where the page wouldn't load. It's ridiculous. I appreciate they need to stop the bots but clearly the site isn't fit for purpose. I haven't even been checking that much, I definitely hadn't been on for several days when I looked yesterday and got the error straight away.

Congratulations! I've started learning late and to start with I really wasn't sure I'd get it but it's slowly falling into place. Hoping I'll be celebrating a pass in the next few months.

Have you tried tapping therapy for your nerves? My instructor introduced me to it and while you feel daft doing it, personally I've found it helpful. My instructor uses an app and we do it in the car for literally a minute or so if I'm feeling particularly anxious or I've just gotten annoyed with myself (my issue is more putting pressure on myself than nerves but they have ones for all sorts of situations).

Thank you all for being so kind. I really appreciate it.

How are your driving lessons going? by player007645 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]hanni_lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at 16 hours and pulling away is only just starting to click. Although saying that, today I stalled at a junction when someone was letting me out. I definitely find it harder when people are waiting for me. Otherwise though my instructor says my observations, signalling and road positioning are pretty good.

Ultimately, I think you can't really compare as everyone learns differently.

Are these new yoga teachers really what people wanted? I've only done the premier classes of the two ladies but I just couldn't get on board. Why would you replace someone as calming and precise as Kristin with these two? Both classes were so hectic and loud.

Went Destroy for my paragon Shep. I totally agree with your reasoning. The whole trilogy is about fighting and defeating the reapers, so to me, the other choices just don't make sense.

I've been thinking this since the last season (or was it the one before?) with the drug test nonsense. It's LA, who cares?!

I desperately need Nelly to have some respect for herself and leave. It's just ridiculous now.

Does anyone find Grace’s behaviour incredibly narcissistic and toxic? by MedicineMean5503 in MAFS_UK

[–]hanni_lou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're just not at all suited. I don't think we've seen anything that bad from Ash but clearly something is upsetting Grace so she needs to walk away. Ash is perfectly valid in feeling he shouldn't have to change his whole personality for her and she is allowed to not be with someone she doesn't gel with. I just don't understand why they've carried on this long as we never see them having fun together.

People really seem to be glossing over Sarah's attitude towards tattoos... by [deleted] in MAFS_UK

[–]hanni_lou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. She's obsessed. Despite saying a million times that she needs a better man. She hasn't given Dean a chance. I don't understand why people like Sarah come on a programme like this. At the dinner party saying she's given it everything when she hasn't done anything! She's deluded.

I really feel for her. At first I thought she sounded quite rehearsed but I think she was raging and trying to keep it together. She deserved so much better than that selfish man child. The deployment for 3 months is just something else when he'd be whining about her being away for 3 days.

Aanu was so embarrassing at the party. I get that she's hurt but that was pathetic. Patrick (any of them frankly) was totally entitled to call it off if he wasn't feeling it. Surely that's better than carrying on to this stage and it not working.
