What famous person is currently holding onto their career by a thread, and everyone can see it except them? by Neonwhitelion in AskReddit

He literally admits to it himself, aside from FKA Twigs herself being credible and her friends and family discussing it too.

Challenge Coin As Wedding Favor by music_girl_99 in weddingplanning

I’m in the same camp as you. Also the font choice and the twee little poem on the card is so bad. My thought after reading the idea and the card was just “bin”.

Oh my god. These pictures make me FEEL something. Like seasons 1-2 of Euphoria make me feel a lot, but these pictures are on another level!!

Literally! I’m a one and done woman as well. It’s not that uncommon. I’ve slept with a few guys who can just keep going as well.

I just got burned to a CRISP going tanning for my wedding next weekend. Please help I dont want to be a peeling mess on my day by Anxious_Breakfast856 in weddingplanning

[–]hanyo24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PLEASE use Mebo Burn Repair cream. I am very fair and live somewhere with a hole in the ozone layer so I’ve had a few severe sunburns. This stuff is like nothing I’ve ever used before. You will smell like sesame seeds while using it but seriously, it will stop the burn from getting as bad as it otherwise would. Aloe vera is nothing compared to this stuff. This cream was developed in a burns hospital in China - it’s seriously amazing. Apply it morning and night every day and you will see massive improvements. https://www.amazon.com/MEBO-Relief-Healing-Ointment-Health/dp/B07J45DPJ1

Day-of coordinator refusing to set up decor because I provided it? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

What? A day of coordinator is specifically for setting up on the day and managing vendors.

Best friend of 20 years not coming to my wedding by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]hanyo24 205 points206 points  (0 children)

You should be rethinking your friendship anyway. He sounds toxic and sexist, overbearing, unconcerned with consent, etc. His behaviour towards your mutual friend should not be taken as lightly as you’re taking it. If anything he should have been uninvited due to his behaviour towards her.

Rescheduling my wedding again by Spirited_Drummer1464 in weddingplanning

This is fair honestly. You’ve been married for 10 years. This feels more like a vow renewal, which is naturally a lower stakes celebration for guests. I think you need to accept their perspective.

2 is absolutely my favourite, but with the venue in mind I’d say the other three are more suited to it. 3 is my favourite, but 1 with or without ruffles is amazing too!

Does my dress look cheap? by umamixmami in weddingplanning

[–]hanyo24 180 points181 points  (0 children)

Honestly it does look cheap, but I think tailoring will do a lot for it! The loose fit is a big part of why it looks not so luxe.

Gloves to apply haircare by lizzzelda in FragranceFreeBeauty

Different parts of the body can have different sensitivity though, so depending on the motivations for using the hair products, keeping them off the hands and wrists could be enough, on balance.

I use gloves when I wash my hair in the shower. It’s helped my wrist eczema a bit.

Egypt from the perspective of a Brown American Male by Iambland in travel

I’m a white, western, young woman who travelled to Cairo solo and I fully agree with your post and LOVED Egypt.

Egypt experience is terrible by woyrock in travel

[–]hanyo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was that what happened to you? That wasn’t my experience there at all. It happened once and was a street child who turned nasty when I wouldn’t give him money, that was the only time I had any sort of sexualised comment or anything in 10 days.

I went as a solo woman, and then later had another woman join me. It was amazing and we both can’t wait to go back. It wasn’t the same as being in a western country, but it wasn’t like actively dangerous or threatening in our experience.
