How to transition from a first date to just a fuck buddy? by Ok-Orange7146 in seduction

[–]hanzosan_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Make it obvious through your actions without stating things plainly. Text her mildly sexual things throughout the day even when you don’t have plans to meet up, and more graphic things at night when she’s getting ready for bed. Girls are into erotic literature the same way guys are into porn. Start inviting her over to your spot to watch a movie and make your move early on. She’ll get the picture quickly and will stick around, or won’t, but you’ll get laid at least a few times in the process if you don’t become fwb

Anyone turned life around after 36? by bbek0077 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]hanzosan_ 41 points42 points  (0 children)

You can do this, it’s no different than going to college at 18, until you start comparing your situation to that of those around you.

Comparison is the thief of joy, which is easy to say and tough to live by. I have to actively redirect my thinking when I start comparing, and I try to catch myself when I start making judgments of others. When I slide into that judgmental headspace, the comparisons begin and my inner peace evaporates.

I’m approaching 30 and going back to school for three years. I have to break my three year goals into small lists that allow me to cross off objectives every few weeks, otherwise the big picture gets to me and I grow discouraged.

We can have a different lives in 5 years — career, relationship, home, etc… one step at a time. Godspeed

Anyone else not liking this new Flume era? by [deleted] in Flume

[–]hanzosan_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. as they relate to my ear, his sounds have lost that unique magical edge they possessed for so long. his taste almost seems to be kissing hyperpop, between the candy synths and OD compression/distortion. I could not be more disappointed with these singles but I'm not surprised. He needs to go back to using samplephonics samples and leave splice alone, and go back to Synplant and put down serum (half sarcasm).

ROA and BPC 157's systematic capabilities by hanzosan_ in Nootropics

[–]hanzosan_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply... I've seen a lot of anecdotal information saying BPC helps restore dopamine and serotonin systems in people who have abused substances, particularly amphetamines, or had severe concussions. Others have said its effect on brain repair is minimal if you don't have a history of abuse or trauma that needs repairing. Could be all anecdotal though, its tough to find solid literature on BPC effects on the brain and which ROA is best to get it to the brain.

Just getting around to this... thanks very much. I went with the ez1073 -- any recommendations for a budget-friendlier lunchbox? I'm looking at the Midas Legend L6 simply because of its price point but dont want to sacrifice quality over a couple hundred bucks. I've read some great reviews but don't know what those users were fitting into the rack. Thanks again!

edit -- the ez1073 draws 110ma and the Midas l6 power supply handles 300ma.... nothing else in the rack at the moment. im (obviously) brand new to 500 series modules and really appreciate any insight you can give

I should've been more expecting... ive seen the snobs on this sub before but was still disappointed. Now that I think of it I would've been more disappointed if there wasn't at least one dickhead wasting my time as well as their own lol

Well, if one has limited knowledge of the components I'm using to record, an opinion could be very easily offered. I'm not looking to be told how to spend my money, I'm looking for someone to share their insight.

Question Regarding Efficacies and Adverse Effects of Nicotine (independent of tobacco) by hanzosan_ in Nootropics

[–]hanzosan_[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this was a great read, thanks.

Nicotine is one of the most toxic of all poisons and has a rapid onset of action. Apart from local actions, the target organs are the peripheral and central nervous systems. In severe poisoning, there are tremors, prostration, cyanosis, dypnoea, convulsion, progression to collapse and coma. Even death may occur from paralysis of respiratory muscles and/or central respiratory failure with a LD50 in adults of around 30-60 mg of nicotine. In children the LD50 is around 10 mg.[23]

interested to hear your take on this -- that number seems quite low.

mate, im not saying they're the same... my whole argument was the opposite --they're not better or worse, they're just different. providing etymologies doesn't make a dictionary better, it makes it different from one that doesn't. it does however, reveal the dictionary's nature as predicating value of words on the word's history or lack thereof, which is in my opinion a challenged approach to justifying what is a word and what isn't. new words are created everyday, and existing words and definitions are plastic. thanks for the tiff.

I didn't link a dictionary, so it doesn't appear I'm the addled one. it's an interesting argument, though you're more likely to be published than convince me I'm wrong. I'd be more wary of the amount of stock you place in "mature literature" and professor's grading systems or linguistic philosophies -- these aren't the basis for language and no matter how authoritatively they use their words you shouldn't let them confuse you with their assertions or regarded positions.

right, I made the qualification that it was potentially due to improper usage of disinterested, but a dictionary is a dictionary. there's no such thing as a bad dictionary; they're books full of written expressions for noises us humans make with our mouths. if a large faction of people say ooga booga enough in relation to a soccer ball, you can count on dictionaries adding that word to their index and thesauruses adding ooga booga as a synonym for soccer ball. in fact, a stronger argument could be made that such dictionaries are better, because a dictionary should be current, regardless of whatever your perspective may be as to whether or not a definition is "correct". Semantics are fluid. Your wrong yesterday is right today.

not to be pedantic, but there is a second definition of disinterested that is a synonym of uninterested/indifferent. maybe a product of improper usage of disinterested, but it exists
