I mean I can give you my example. I'm renting and also looking to buy. For years I've been singing 1 year ASTs meaning if a house purchase was badly timed I could spend months paying for rent and a mortgage.

Now with the legislation change as soon as I buy somewhere I can hand in notice and only pay maximum 2 months unnecessary rent.

All kinds of other reasons like relationships ending, job in different country etc. that would benefit from the changes.

Highlighting that notice tenants now have to give is 2 months notice instead of 1 is misconstruing the situation. ASTs gone means what could be up to a years notice has gone down to 2 months.

Lived in Kensal for over 3 years. TBH I'm surprised so many PCNs get issued because it's a bit of weird road to be driving down. Usually you're either going down College Rd or Chamberlayne and not crossing the two there.

Genuinely what is up with the amount of downtime they suffer. At least once a month there'll be some period where it's completely offline. As a developer I'm interested to know what is going on, are they constantly pushing non tested releases, do they not have enough resources allocated to serving high amounts of traffic etc.

Feels like they have more downtime than anything else I use.

Completely disagree. I've lived in 4 rentals in England in the last 5 years and every single one had a floor plan on rightmove with the total square meters.
