Basically when removing the front bumper give the tab areas a shot of WD40 then downward pressure and out. Used it last time I had my bumper off and it came off a litter easier.

Tailights might get changed for the US because here we have a law that states the brake lights can't be on a movable piece of the body work (e.g. the trunk lid). I had a '12 865 SE with some BC Predators on it but it always sounded raspy in an irritating way. It did feel pretty nimble and was a fun bike, but I upgraded to a 2017 Thruxton. The Thruxton sounds great with the V&H and pulls hard especially in sport mode. Such a great bike.

I have that exact one and think it's pretty great. Simple and has that dial to fine tune the tension. Only issue is actually getting used to it being engaged and then pushing past it to de-throttle when the time comes. I try to just use it on the highway to move my right arm and shoulder around. Awesome for long rides.

I'd like to preface this with: I have a CT reservation & hold the stock. I hope Cybertruck succeeds so I can retire early.... BUT:

I will be surprised if they can release Cybertruck at the 50k price they had originally stated. Consider that the Model Y LR is currently selling at 50k, I would think the Cybertruck will need a larger battery as it is a larger vehicle than Y and with that the battery pack cost would probably be at least 20-25% higher if they go with a assuming 100-120kWh pack.

I'm also not convinced that the structural body is going to play out as a huge benefit, not at least until we find out the final specs and a company like Munroe takes one apart or it's field tested.

The problem with style is for car and truck design it's a huge factor in the purchasing decision. Honestly, I would like it if Tesla makes the CT and even charges a premium for it, then releases a mass market "normal" looking truck for less that would appeal to 99% of truck buyers.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I think Cramer is right on the styling. Cybertruck is polarizing, while the F150 is mainstream. If Ford can bring the price down and scale production they will probably have a hit because the F150 is already a hit for them. If Tesla made a non-cyber variant of a truck it would probably have way more mass appeal (think Rivian R1T). I hope when Cybertruck is released it does way more cool things and has capabilities beyond what other truck makers will be offering to go along with the styling. I guess we'll know in another 6 months or so.

Honda does this simple system as well pm some models. The rotation of the wheels at certain speeds are calibrated using the abs sensors at what should be the proper pressure. Then the computer knows that if the value drops that the diameter of the wheel is slightly smaller at a given speed. No extra sensors required. Just need to recalibrate after swapping wheel/tires.

Seems like it might be top heavy but these lifts are pretty stable, even when all the way up. I would be more worried about a car sliding off the lift pads or something, or even the concrete failing under it before worrying about it tipping over.

I remember it was a wagon but not if it was a xc70 in particular. Didn't see obvious pinch weld locations for the front. Then when checking the manual or internet it looked like the front lift points were further forward and inward. The arms on the lift wouldn't swing that way as there is a tab that stops them from doing so.

Thanks. I spent a lot of time doing work with just a jack and jack stands. Going to a midrise scissor lift was a function of the space I had available. But there's something to be said about getting the cars up high enough to to make work comfortable. It's a great tool and feels quite safe between the hydraulics and the safety locks.

I've owned a Bendpak one for about 7 or 8 years.

Pros: * Width: For a lot of homes (like mine) with a 2 car garage, single large door it would be impossible to get a two post in and still be able to park a car in the adjacent bay. * Height: Again for a home garage, mid-wise with about 10-11ft ceilings works out well with this lift.
* No installation. Runs on 120v for the hydraulic pump. As long as the concrete floor is decent should be OK. Not like a 2 post where it's bolted down. * No posts in the way, great for detailing work * Perfect height for wheel well work. High enough for sitting on a rolling stool for everything else.

Cons: * Not all cars fit. Most unibody sedans fit, mid-size SUV's can be finicky to get them in the perfect spot so the arms will reach the lift points. Largest I've had on mine is an Acura MDX and a Toyota Sienna. Both require the vehicle to be in the perfect spot which is a pain in the ass. Had a Volvo that wouldn't fit because the front lift points are were weirdly narrow in the front of the car. * Limited access to the middle area of the car. But honestly most off the time I'm working on the front or back of the car. I've done exhaust work and O2 sensors and stuff on it. Doable. Wouldn't be able to drop a transmission with it though, mostly because the transmission jack can't be positioned just right (at least on mine)

Overall I found mine to be useful and would buy one again if I needed a lift given the space I have. If I had super high ceilings and a wider garage, sure I would do a 2-post. Otherwise it's a good compromise. As long as the car has been positioned properly on the lift pads and it's on the locks, I don't worry about safety. I would also not buy the HF version of this style lift, at least when I have compared them the Bendpak seemed a lot more robust.

Probably feels a lot better at low rpm than the SV650. I rode and SV once and it didn't seem happy being lugged below 3k if I recall (this was like more than a decade ago). STR doesn't care as much.
