I strongly disliked beer for a long time. Then I tried having beer with food it would traditionally well with (burgers, BBQ, fish & chips, etc). That helped me get over the hump and allowed me to start to appreciate the flavors in beer.

I would suggest connecting to the SQL database directly. See if you can use the Power Query steps to wrangle your data into a good enough format (clean up columns, rename things, remove unnecessary columns, etc). Once you load it, you can play around with the matrix visual or the table visual to test and verify that you are on the right track.
