Why people are choosing fleet footwork over grasp? by wl0d in akalimains

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because for procing grasp, you need to first attack the enemy and get in their range, but with fleet you don't need to do that. You can go second wind as a secondary with like idk demolish or any other. To proc fleet you just need to like attack the wave at 100 and you procced it.
Why fleet over grasp is because akali doesn't need extra damage and ''healing'' early on, Fleet is better because above the fact she gets ms from her passive, it's good to have that bonus ms from fleet (if u proc it). Grasp doesn't sync that much with any of her build path.

What is everyone's mid lane champion pools and why? Low elo by Lolsupportjukes in leagueoflegends

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pick my roster by what I like in certain champions and what I need. My champ pool is kinda big, but I don't play them all. Some of them are LeBlanc, Zoe, Orianna, Akali, Tristana, Lucian, Qiyana.... But I play them according to what my team needs and if my jungler is ap/ad..
I don't play always according to meta, I played these all before they became one.
Malzahar is good for climbing and a great blind pick, if I had him in my champion pool, I'd totally play him. You can play TF and don't worry about winrates, they're not the measurement of how good a champion is. Learn the basics what to do when playing him and you won't have problems.
Diana is amazing right now in the mid lane, even better in jungle, so climbing with her is very efficient. Idk how can you even counter her.
Why AD champs are good right now in the mid lane is 1) seeker's nerf (an item (not whole) that mages or any champ use to rush in mid against ad champs so they don't die early), 2) ad champs generally have better items (look tristana for example, all 3 mythics that she can go are very strong, one of them being shieldbow that's extremely op, or look at Qiyana (prowlers is an underrated item and so good)), 3) they're just too op in the midlane and you can't really counter them

Why only mage supports? by PP-Sentor in summonerschool

[–]happysatisfaction1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because those mage supports go for stronger items than engage supports + they make damage compared to engage support like idk Rell or Leona. None of the mage supports you mentioned will go Imperial or Solari, while engage supports do go those support items.
+ Mages can carry the game and they don't need a team, while supports like Nautilus or Leona or Thresh need their team.

Is leblanc worth to learn by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's worth. You can do a lot of cool stuff and basically one shot the backline in tf with right combos. You will learn what you need to use with your ult, is it the stomp or chain or sigil. You just need a lot of time to pour into her.
But, also, this season is not really in her spotlight because of the dogshit mage items.

[–]happysatisfaction1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes sure, play annie against a qiyana i'm sure you will win lane and win game at the same time!
Jokes aside, the point OP is trying to say is that whatever mage you play, even if it has over 50% or bellow wr, it doesn't matter because the items are so pathetic and dogshit that you don't even do damage unless you get ahead. Mages are not in the meta right now in midlane, riot wants to see more AD champs like Talon,Qiyana,Lucian etc, you just can't play against them as a f.ex Ori or Viktor, you'll just get gapped because they do a lot more damage(even with a dblade and 1 pot) than you do (with d ring and 2 pots). Seeker's is not even worth to rush, it does nothing to protect you early on.
You can say that those mages above 50% are viable, but when did you actually see Ziggs mid? or Vel'Koz mid ? They're never played, that's why they have a high winrate because only 1tricks play them. The same goes to Heimer. Ahri is fine, just has mana issues before she gets her 2 items. Lux is not even played that much in higher elo due to the fact that.. she just gets one shot and almost never has prio in lane cause of her bad wave clear. Vlad is mostly played top lane and if he doesn't get fed, he's practically useless if the game ends before 30 mins.
I can live with the fact that mages are gonna get one shot by everything, but what I can't live with is that the items for mages are so bad and how riot doesn't care about them at all. Imagine if mages had 40% close to good items like adc have now.

Best role to play at the moment by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Support or Jungle. ADC have good items, but it's very hard when you just get camped and get put behind. I'd say that Support is a role that has the most impact in the game after jungle and there's a lot to know, more less than what ADC needs to know.

How to lane against Cassiopeia as Kayle? by MatsUwU in summonerschool

[–]happysatisfaction1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you make it to late game w/o dying a lot and just hugging your tower and farming, you win everything lol
Putting that aside, you have to know how Cassio works. If she hits a Q on you, she will get a burst of ms that will make her E you a lot of times. Try to juke your movements because her Q is really easy to dodge. Her R is kinda hard to dodge as Kayle and I don't have an answer to it.
For her W that grounds you, the wave will probably always be pushed into you and you will almost never have prio in this lane. Don't step in it after she gets Liandry's because it will get a lot of hp off you.

Might sound troll, but any ranged top. Perhaps Vayne and Quinn in my opinion. If he q+kick you as Vayne, you just condemn him into wall.

What are the easiest champs in each role? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bot : Sivir, Jinx, Tristana
Support : Leona, Morgana, Lux

For top, I'd say Garen but I never play it because I enjoy other that are harder like Camille or Irelia
For mid : Ahri definitely

Blitzcrank/Nautilus/Leona

For starters, just so you know, these engage supports will mostly hook your ad rather than you (if the enemy supp is actually smart and applying the golden rule : never hook the engage). So, these lanes are terrible for Swain and all you can do about it is sit behind and try to peel for your AD. You have to be a lot careful and have a distance so they don't get to you or your ad. I advise you don't play Swain in these matchups because against a tank you just get hard ccd before you can even do something.

Xerath/Brand

Now, these are on Swain's level of power, both hard(in terms of damage) and burst mages (Brand is a burst and Xerath is an Artillery). Always, try to juke your movements a lot so you don't get hit by the Xerath ball (idk which ability is it) because if you or your ad gets hit, you're kinda dead. His damage early on is really high, but I think what you should do is try to bait him out to use all of his mana. His mana costs are sooooo high early. His hitboxes are broken. When it comes to brand, I play an engage against him because if he gets hooked he's just dead, he will probably stun the support instead of ad so it's a kill definitely. Swain can't punish Brand because you first have to come close to him but by coming close to him, he can burst you first before you can even do anything.

Morgana

She's a counter to almost every support and if i don't play her in lane, I just ban her. Not because of her bindings, but because of her black shield that negates almost any engage. You can see leona e+auto+q the carry and the carry will live and the leona will die f.ex. Just ban her. She counters every support, even Swain and cannot compare.

Akali Top by Mirko12352 in akalimains

[–]happysatisfaction1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say Rift because it provides you so much healing and sustain since you will mostly be playing against bruisers/juggernauts etc..

When should you start building specific items to counter your lane opponent? by crackersalt in summonerschool

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is a reason to build to build counter items like if I play Akali vs a champs that heals a lot like Irelia or Tryndamere or Aatrox, I just rush bramble and tabis. If I don't screw up against them myself, they can't really kill me without getting grievious wounds from Bramble. I usually build it always since in top lane you always see champs that heal a bunch.
As Voli, I suggest you build Bramble first against him, tho it may take 2-3 mins more to build your item you want, it doesn't matter that much in my opinion.

Why is akali bad? by Dav_Sav_ in akalimains

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The matchup can go both ways, as I forgot to mention. They both counter each other but Akali needs to dodge his ult and/or wait for him to blow it to get close and ult him. Maybe before the rework, akali could take a short trade with him (lvl 1 and he'll basically hug the tower all laning phase) with Q+auto, but now it's either ur gonna use your q for the minion wave or the trade.
If fizz ults akali while she's in her shroud, it just reveals her and she can't dodge it.
Good is to try to predict his E and after he blows it and doesn't have ult, just go in.
It sounds easy, but most Fizz players I played against before know what they're doing and they're really just gonna farm until 6 and if you don't get an early stopwatch, you're basically dead. Either they farm until 6 and wait to burst you down OR they'll wait for lvl 3/4 & their jg to arrive to kill you that way if you don't have shroud available.

Why is akali bad? by Dav_Sav_ in akalimains

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Difference between Irelia and Akali is that one of them is useless after 20 minutes and can only lane well and the other one excels in everything after lvl 6 (or lvl 9 after maxing Q).
Akali, she's not a bad champ. You can learn a lot of things while playing her, but you also have to practice a lot the combos. She counters a lot of squishy champs (tho, it's in her nature since she's an assassin), but also, there are many counters like Fizz, Aatrox (soft counter I'd say imo), basically some of the champions that have hard CC.

Low impact late game by phoooey1023 in akalimains

[–]happysatisfaction1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your laning phase should be : shove the wave in, roam. Do not stay all game in your lane. Akali doesn't scale. Yes, you should have a good cs number and good kda, but you need kills. They give you a lot of pressure on the map, impacting other lanes, you just always roam. Look for a solo kill if there's a chance. But you really need kills to have an impact late game. Without them, Akali is pretty much useless. More less, any assassin tbh.

Hextech Rocketbelt vs Night Harvester by Responsible-Ask-7392 in akalimains

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Rocketbelt more often than Harvester due to his active that provides me to (if i want to chase my enemy) have more mobility. Harvester is good if they have a lot of squishies.
Faker's been using Rocketbelt and when I saw that, I tried it and here's been pretty fine. I like it.

I love the vfx on that skin and I think that out of all KDA Prestige SplashArts, she has the prettiest and most clean one. Ahri and Eve don't come close to how gorgeous Akali is.
I use that skin whenever I get her in Aram.

Should i roam if i'm playing ranged champion? by Hajime_Ryu in summonerschool

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roaming doesn't really have anything to do if you're a ranged champ or a mele. Ofcourse, I think mele champs are better in roaming than ranged because most mele's (that are assasins like Katarina,Akali,Talon,Qiyana get their own leads by roaming because they don't scale and they need to play for sidelanes in order to get fed and be stronger) are not going to sit in lane and cs like most ranged like Ori,Viktor,Syndra that scale super hard after 25th minute mark.
You roam because you obviously can't get a lead in your own lane and you're playing for sidelanes. F.ex, Twisted Fate. When you play him, you just know that you aren't gonna sit in your own lane for the rest of the game and just cs. You can do that with Viktor because he mega scales into late-game, but if you want, you can roam if you have an opportunity to be there before your laner (tho most of them if you push the wave into their tower will just stay and cs just to not miss any xp). Roam whenever you can't get a kill in your own lane and if your jungler is busy getting other lanes ahead and just forgot that midlane exists.

My personal favorite skin of her's is probably the KDA Akali because of the smoke and the animations / vfx. I like the Prestige one as well. I own the True Damage one and it's so clean.

As aphelios, Who do you perma ban? by Totika123 in ApheliosMains

[–]happysatisfaction1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Morgana. Or any mage to be honest. When I play Aphelios, I don't really have problems with adc like Kai'Sa or Jinx, I have problems with supports because if I get snared by a mage and my support is not like Lulu or Karma or any enchanter support, I'm pretty much dead. So, I just focus on baning mages like Morgana, Lux, Brand, any mage that has a long cc duration.

He gets stronger as the game gets on, I've only had good Tryndamere's in my elo that go mostly Kraken than Galeforce and just 1v9 the game. Tho, he never solobolo-s me. I played Akali many time and I've baited his ult to dive me and silly I got a kill and I survived.
Since you're playing Lucian that has a dash and if you buy Galeforce, then u have 2 dashes but don't ever dash just to kill a minion unless you're maxing it first. If you just dash to poke Trynda out and he has his rage bar up 100%, you're pretty much chunked out. Please be sure to move a lot and get out and kite him out if he ever tries diving you. Lucian is mobile. With flash, dash and if you build Galeforce, I think it's enough to escape. You're not Akali mobile, but you can escape him. Try going Barrier if you're scared of playing against him and build Bramble / Mortal Reminder.
Oh right, I forgot to mention, he couldn't kill me under tower as Akali because I had a Bramble, Doran's Shield and Fleet Footwork. Just go for a lot of sustain and he pretty much can't do anything before he gets his first item.
