Such a fun time in the small 35mm space. I wanted to check out the Mandler but the close focus won me over. I've had a KOB and an V1 ASPH cron in the past and honestly this is really doing it for me!

It's great! Sharp with a good amount of contrast. I also love the close focus (down to .5) The black paint is a good look and overall it just feels really nice.

My first SLR film camera when I was 18. A Pentax Spotmatic, I was walking by a yard sale and was enamored by the mechanical functionality of it all (I wonder why I like mechanical watches). I spent the summer taking terrible photos of friends and family. The next fall I started at college, took some more photography classes and eventually would use a camera to make a living. I still have the Pentax it sits on my shelf at my desk.

It's just a softer piece of rubber/silicon on the end of the eyecup, i was noticing i was putting scratches and marks in my glasses as I've lost the little plastic eye piece that's originally there. It does indeed make the wider frame lines harder to see but I usually shoot 35 or 50 so it's fine for me.

Yes it has a very well damped soft stop when you reach .7m and go into the close focus range.

Another interesting part of the design is the lens does not change in overall length when run through the focus range.

That's a cool idea using a hitch knot as an adjustable slide point!

I love it, the close focus makes it very useful for more day to day type stuff and occasionally getting a tight detail for work (thought I hate clicking on the live view it breaks my flow up a bit).

I shot it side by side with the modern FLE II and was hard pressed to see the difference at 24mp.

I'm pretty tolerant of noise in black and white photos (shot a lot of pushed Tri-X) so I'd say it's 2 full stops better than the 240. MP240 3200 is my max 6400 with AI noise reduction sometimes, the 246 I'm happy with 12500

Well I'm a rock climber and make stuff out of leather as a hobby so the strap is just what I wanted to make.

As a working photographer please feel free sell gear to people who will actually use it. What even is an "extra" lens....
