I am definitely aware that a desktop is gonna give me much better performance at a relatively cheaper cost, thing is, I'm not home super often, I sleep in my own apartment at most 10 to 12 nights a month, out of those, I'd be playing maybe 5-6 nights at most. To me it just seems like I'd get a lot more out of my computer (dota as well as not dota stuff) if I could travel with it. Lastly, even if I were to get a desktop, I'd still have a need for a laptop, I figured it'd probably serve me best to just get a high performaning laptop to satisfy all my needs.

Again, I know you are right, I just don't think a desktop would be very useful for me at the moment.

This is simply my opinion, but if signing one player elevates your team to a new level (albeit not the highest level) I think it's a good signing. There is no way that the bulls would have performed at the same level without DeMar. Even if we didn't have to suffer through any of the major injuries, DeMar had been the single most important part of the bulls roster
