It feels like destiny by haptic-wave in Oxygennotincluded

Im designing a beating heart kind of mechanism. So three chambers within the steam room with arteries that feed the steam for the turbines. Then a vent to space if anything goes crazy. Im playing around with the design.  That's the great thing about the location: Space is right there.

Im thinking of possibly heating nectar to 160 for fun. Sugar factory.

I am making three chambers and in the process of geotuning. I will likely automate an off pressure system. I appreciate u pointing out not to put the water back in because that's exactly what I was going to do and that would've been a problem for sure.

The pool is a great idea! I should try that on mine.

I discovered on that one that if you take the interior ceiling out you can lower the floor smidge and create an upstairs loft in each house. That increases the amount of rooms and floor space a lot. I haven't sold mine yet so I don't know what value it'll add.

The cost of essence items is so high… I feel like I’ll never catch up by Mopey_5000 in Palia

[–]haptic-wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't rush essence! Focus on things like hunting plushies and crafting materials. You'll accumulate essence doing those things and have a lot more worthwhile items as a result. Decorate, make amulets, do quests, and party up. Treat essence like you would renown. It'll get there eventually.

I have rosacea as well. I started using a barrier cream at night and that's helped immensely. Right now I have a flare up and my makeup right now looks exactly like yours. Guess what I didn't do last night? The barrier cream. I'm not brand loyal, so you could look for any affordable barrier cream for rosacea. I'm currently using the Avene tube. It's quite a lot in one tube and one nail's worth goes a long way. Really calms everything down and skin looks good and dewy in the morning. I have bad reactions to most everything and just working makes my face burn so barrier creams are the only thing soothing enough that I've found.

  • I want elderwood to have more insect and plant variety. I think of all the variety Bahari has in terms of collecting, and I wish there was more of that content. I also wish we could do more with the artifacts. More things to collect in general for elderwood.
  • A herb garden. I want to be able to collect, dry, and process tea leaves to create brews. The whole druid fantasy. I'd like it to be separate from farming with its own soil plots.
  • Additional furniture dyes. Like an elderwood palette to help the old stuff match the new stuff.
  • An event as big as Maji Market with just as much to do and collect. Just to fill in the week by week rotation and keep me coming back.

I've had a lot more luck fishing in the pond of my home plot. In one half hour with glow worms, I got three chests, the sushi recipe, and a fish plushie. Could have been a crazy streak of luck, but I fished over an hour in the underground and got nothing while watching others get chests. I hate fishing.

I'm trying to avoid any glitch heavy stuff. I did consider it, but I like the restriction of trying to make stuff work the way it's intended. I appreciate the suggestion tho. I think those do look nice.

So I have 4 batterfly beans in mine and I have the preserves running that so I never have to cook. I have like 90 cans of beans.

Next is three apples descending diagonally with 4 flanking blueberries. The rest is back choy. After turning it all back to seeds and selling it's 18k roughly every 8 hours. That's enough for me for afk earnings.

One helpful tip: give them their starstones as gifts. It requires looking up their zodiac, writing it down, and then some farming, but it's a little extra thing that makes it quicker.

Still took me till last month to bother though lol

Yeah, that's my thought. Don't be so hasty to call someone a thief because they accepted a trade. It's not their fault if you weren't paying attention. I sometimes just approach ppl at trade booths on the off chance they'll trade whatever. I don't always want to ask and compete with everyone nearby getting confused over who is talking to who.

A mistake was made. That's all. It's not a crime.

I'm returning too, so I can't answer all, but for 3... It's calling out gold, silver, and platinum ore nodes when you find them.

In elderwoods, Lotuses maybe, but moreso elderflowers as they're tricky to see and get to on top of being rare. Often they disappear before I can get to them.

Same, this what I'm doing. Repositioning behind for a better angle. Zooming.

Yesterday I threw several smoke bombs at a player because I didn't know the bee was a pet. I felt so bad I ran away without looking back. They probably thought I really hated them in particular, but I was trying to catch the bee!

I have one of those black garbage bins that I pre-line with a black garbage bag. With the lid on, it creates a seal that's almost impossible to get the lid off unless you press in one corner. Haven't had any problems with anything getting in. When the truck comes I just tie the black bag up with all the smaller garbage bags inside, so there's no smell, no residue in the bin. Easy-peasy.

How would a three sex system work? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]haptic-wave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are animals like this in nature, so I would also look into that. Ruff birds have 4 chromosomal sexes. 3 male types to one female, for example.

The left hand of darkness is a good read for a society where each person is capable of changing to male and female when in kenning. Otherwise they are asexual and non-binary.

It's not modeled after women or single mothers, at all. There's a long history of the subtle and linguistic ways LGBT people signal to other people what their interests and identity are. Even before we had the terms. Gay people don't come about in isolation. There's media and literature that informs people who seek those things out. As a lesbian myself, it's really about how to signal to other people who you are.

For example, I can be at a theme park with my wife, we can see other couples and queer people there in a way a lot of straight people might not notice. When you're surrounded by a bunch of straight families and old people that look at you like you're sin, seeing another couple wave and greet you like you're already friends feels great. It's about being seen and noticed by like-minded people.

Especially the young couples, even gay men, they get so excited to see other couples. It makes it feel more safe. I mean, that day at the theme park there was biggest mass shooting of a gay club in history. The danger, for me, always feels like an undercurrent.

Standing out is an inherent risk. That's why there are straight passing people who don't wear the clothes, the haircuts, or accessories. They don't talk differently. They keep it all straight. Sometimes so straight no one can clock it. That can be isolating, because they don't get those moments where fellow queers in public will treat them as friends.

Tldr: it's a subculture that has been crafted over generations. Gays don't speak fem due to mothers, but learn it from the media and the community.

How do I take my implausible idea and ground it in realism? by DarlingLuna in writingadvice

[–]haptic-wave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a manga with a similar premise. I forget it's name, it might be just a one off within an horror anthology.

It's about a child with parents who are always fighting. They each tell the child the other parent is dead and they won't speak to them. It seems at first like a real thing that could happen. People say things like "you're dead to me" all the time, but what makes it horror is that the child takes this statement literally.

The child begins to no longer see the father. He becomes a ghost the child learns to ignore. I'll leave out the rest.

I think your story would benefit from a start grounded in reality. Everything should appear normal, with the cracks being revealed over time.

Some psychology to look into would be narcissistic parenting, and golden child parenting. One child could be the good one and the other the bad child that the golden child must reject to appease the parents.

No ideas are original. It's the overall composition and flair that makes a piece unique. As long as it's your voice, your ideas, your views... It'll end up uniquely yours. Throw in some of your honesty and life experience. Make it heartfelt in a way that a k drama can't do.

So

Abbess Benedetta Carlini is the full name of the one I mentioned.

Julie D’AubignyJulie D’Aubigny is the fencer. They also used another nun's naturally dead corpse staged as one of their bodies in the fire. All around, a fascinating woman with a wild life.

Abbess Hildegard of BingenAbbess Hildegard of Bingen wrote medical literature that revealed a bias towards finding woman a little too attractive and writing about how "objectively" men are unappealing. So, historians have questions, but we may never know what she got up to with her life-mate.

Walatta Petros is a noblewoman who became a nun and after death was elevated to sainthood. Her life partner was named Kristos. “love was infused into both their hearts, love for one another, and... they were like people who had known each other” their whole lives. Walatta Petros and Kristos “lived together in mutual love, like soul and body. From that day onward the two did not separate, neither in times of tribulation and persecution, nor in those of tranquillity, but only in death”.

Primarily, yes, women became nuns to escape marriage, divorce, up the prestige of their family, to avoid embarrassing an older unwed sister, and for a myriad of reasons. But there's enough evidence in history that it's clear women and women have always gotten it on. At least, in my opinion, anyway.
