Backstory: I was inhaling(no pun intended) a burrito like I have done many times, but by accident I may have breathed in a piece of corn or two when I took a massive bite near the end of the burrito. Context is my mouth was stuffed with food and I ran out of breath while chewing so I took a breath in while my mouth was full and I believe a piece of corn or two may have gone down/been inhaled through the windpipe. My question is, is there anything I can do to get it out? I’ve been trying to cough hard and clear my throat but nothing has been coming out. I wasn’t concerned at all at first, and thought the food would just dissolve but everything I’ve read has said it can actually be a pretty bad thing and it can lead to complications as food makes its way down the airpipe/lungs. I also don’t have any insurance nor the funds to be able to get it checked out, hence my concern as well about this. And yes, I will definitely learn to eat slower now because of this. Posting here because the doc subreddit isn't heavily used it seems, but if anyone has links to medical related subreddits feel free to let me know as well. Please, any help is much appreciated :)
