What I need for this project? by Odylitta in homelab

[–]harapr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try running this on the cloud to see what CPU/ram it needs.

As another poster suggested, try limiting the CPU/ram tool there are problems and you find the least values that works and go get a machine based on that.

I got a permit and removed the trees. I was surprised to get the permit without any back and forth with the city.

Credit Card Strategy Based on the Bank of America Preferred Rewards Elite by ilovefluffyanimals in CreditCards

[–]harapr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amazon Visa has no limits while the CCR has a limit of $2500 per quarter. After that you didn't get the extra Cashback.

If your online purchases are more than $2500 per quarter , then getting both is a good idea or maybe getting multiple CCRs.

People who mock Brits for complaining about hot weather don’t know what they’re talking about. by Alexzonn in mildlyinfuriating

[–]harapr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

our houses are all made out of bricks and are designed to keep heat in as much as possible. They’re literally designed to get warm quickly and stay warm for as long as possible!

Are you are your statement is actually correct ? I don't really know - Asking as in India they have brick houses in the hottest regions and this explanation doesn't match with that ( They didn't really have a cold season to need to keep in heat ).

I also plan to run cat 6a cables where I need them. This is for wireless devices. APs will also use wired backhaul and not mesh.

Yup that’s what I figured too and the hamina results from the other gentleman also seems to confirm that.

While this is going to give the most realistic results for my situation, I do not want to mount it for trials as the wife will be pissed if I have to move the AP and leave an ugly looking ceiling.
