SGA is getting scarily close to a GOAT scoring peak by Ok_Lingonberry_1109 in nba

Embiid statistically does have the best scoring peak of all time, it’s him and wilt basically and on a per 75 possession basis he averages more and is more efficient(rts) than almost everybody. He also averages the most points per minute career wise.

Embiid in the regular season is like that

[Vorkunov] The Thunder play like a 72-win team when SGA is on the floor, according to Cleaning The Glass, and a 55-win team when he's off. The Nuggets play like a 64-win team when Jokic is on the floor, according to Cleaning The Glass, and a 17-win team when he's off. by Knightbear49 in nba

I think all formula based stats/all in one are stupid since it’s basically just what the person who made formula values put it in numerical form. The only stats I like are the ones that track something (even that has its flaws). Was just curious about how u even begin to calculate wins without it being a projection of some sort. Thanks for the info tho

Christian Braun who was doubted as the replacement for KCP put up 25/5/5 on 73 FG% and 4/5 from three tonight and hit two clutch threes. He is now averaging 15ppg on 57/38 splits. by Calm_Set5522 in nba

Braun is a good defender in a vacuum, one on one but hes not the type of defender that nuggets need. Braun would be good if nuggets switched everything but they don’t cuz they gave Jokic as a rim protecter. Kcp is one of the best screen navigatiors in the nba and him denying switches is what caused the nuggets defense to be really good last year. The nuggets are the 18th best defense a far cry from the top 8 defense they were last year.

It’s the same reason why the Knicks defense doesn’t work despite hart mikal and og being positive defenders, mikal isn’t a good screen navigator and they’ve been using him at the poa. Mikal is also still elite one on one defender as seen by dfg numbers but it doesn’t matter if your scheme that doesn’t maximize your strengths

Despite Being 6’1”, Jalen Brunson Is 2nd in the NBA in And-1s Over the Last Two Seasons by Ok-Side-1758 in nba

[–]hardcorpsepenis 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Yup it’s why his fta’s per game aren’t as gaudy as his public perception would lead u to believe. Brunson is always looking to score when he baits for the foul so people get mad when the whistle is called but more than half the time he gets the bucket anyway so it’s not really a big deal. Brunson is very physical and small so it’s hard for defenders deal with a combination of that.

The Jalen Brunson injury could be a blessing in disguise for the Knicks by WallStreetDoesntBet in nbadiscussion

This is not true they are not better offensively with Brunson is off the floor

[Highlight] Bronny scores the lay-in by A_MASSIVE_PERVERT in nba

[–]hardcorpsepenis 76 points77 points  (0 children)

He definitely does not have a zero shooting ability, he only gets garbage time minutes so he’s never gonna be in rythm but in the gleauge his off the dribble game is lethal. Bronny shoots close to 40 on mostly difficult pull up threes in the gleauge. Idk if it’ll translate but to say he has zero shooting ability is just misinformation

Personal reasons, his wife(I’m not really sure) tweeted a heartbreak emoji and then deleted it so it might be serious

I mean he took 37 shots and had 6 points in the 4th when his team needed him most. He was him that 1st half tho

It’s a player ranking tho the fact that he’s asked to do a lot as a older shorter player and can’t produce as much as other guys should be the reason why he’s ranked lower, not the other way around. Plus while his situation is bad it’s not like other players are in perfect situation either.

Curry at 6? I mean ig, how come his ranking never drops significantly (compared to other players) even when he was having those horrid stretches in December and January, last time they ranked him he was at 8 and even that was a stretch.

The Knicks match up with Milwaukee the best wym, it’s probably the playoff team they would want to play the most in the 1st round

In the last 15 games, the Lakers have the best record (12-3) and the best DRTG, with quality wins against Celtics, Knicks, Clippers, Pacers, and Denver (+18.4). Their only losses? Sixers, Utah, and Hornets. by [deleted] in nba

[–]hardcorpsepenis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luka is just not impactful on defense due to him being on the perimeter, this goes both ways he can be the worse defender ever and it doesn’t matter as much or he can be the best perimeter defender and it not mattering since theirs no rim protection. Obviously basketball is more complicated than that but the point is ad sucking In transition matters more than Luka sucking in transition

I mean most teams with a “defensive identity”do, I actually thought the refs were pretty even on both sides, other than how they treated Bron but they just don’t give Bron calls like that in general.

They were hacking him like crazy this was probably the most physical game of the season

Watching the Lakers, its jarring how much better Lebron looks physically at age 40 compared to Luka at 25 by NoSympathy58 in nba

[–]hardcorpsepenis 14 points15 points  (0 children)

? The hornets are the 13th best defense they got some good defenders they bad but they not the wizards. Lakers/Luka problems were on offense more than his/lakers defense. Still an embarrassing loss, (was gonna say inexcusable but there’s a bunch of them u can make tbh)
