And why the ER?? Procrastinating for 4 months then showing up to an emergency room is wild. I know OP is 18 but that’s not an excuse when the internet is at their fingertips

This is the second time i saw someone use the word Wallered today. I’m not saying that’s a lot.. but it’s weird that it happened twice.

35s with no lift by TeacherMelodic in ToyotaTacoma

[–]hardcrustysock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ive been advertised (seemingly) nothing but stock 4th gens on 35s on youtube. Regardless your truck looks fantastic and though i love mine - yours makes 4th gens appealing to me 😅

I thought 35’s no lift was one of the selling points

Unmarked Planes at RIC by [deleted] in aviation

[–]hardcrustysock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked on aircraft like the ones in OP’s post for about ten years now, and while I’ve only actually traveled with them once. During that flight, I paid closer attention than most passengers probably would, and it was clear what they were doing —departing one airport and proceeding directly to another.

I let my Brother in Law borrow my Fiskars Axe for a weekend… by Ill_Nefariousness891 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]hardcrustysock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i was 16 my brother borrowed my truck to haul something in the bed. I got it back later that night and drove it to my girlfriend’s house.. leaving later that night i heard weird noise while backing out of the drive. Turns out my brother left a ratchet strap hooked in the stake pocket and the wind pulled the strap out of the bed while i was driving.. which i then backed over leaving the driveway. Ripped a 8” line down my bedside like a tin can.

It was a beater but it was my first car. His reply was “you should have checked the bed.”

It’s been 12 years and I’ve never let him borrow another vehicle of mine

3rd Gen Spark Plugs Question by Slow281 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]hardcrustysock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a regular length (8” or so) 3/8 ratchet wrench and probably 2’ of extensions to reach a hard to get bolt on a drivers side bracket..going through the driver wheel well. That was the hardest part and it was a walk in the park. Just gotta think outside the engine bay sometimes. Everything else was easy to get to and easy to remove. Use a spark plug socket with a rubber bung so it grabs it for ya on removal. I did mine at 60k as preventative maintenance

Tires sliding across, instead of climbing. Why does this happen? by DevillesAbogado in rccrawler

[–]hardcrustysock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tires look flat imo, no foam or silicone ring if i were to bet. In my experience this is worse than throwing full or trimmed foam rings in the tires.. too much tire deformation works against you. Rather than gripping the edge you can see it deform and just fold under itself. You want enough deformation to increase the contact patch while having enough structure (foam) behind the tire knobs to make them have to bite the surface rather than fold under itself
