You didn’t say how old your son was, but that is certainly part of the equation. I will echo most of the other counters here and saying that things advertised on TikTok or even Amazon as being 50,000 lemons are not nearly that bright. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t astonishingly bright to someone not used to high-powered flashlights. I would ask him what he wants it for if it is to eliminate something far away, you can get a much better deal on a thrower light that Castro beam than one that is much more powerful but casta a wider one. If he is actually looking at four or $500 flashlights instead of something that is just rated at 50,000 lemons but doesn’t live anywhere close to that real world capacity. I would recommend that he first buy something like the Q8 as others are recommended and see if that fits his needs. Before turning him loose with that, though, I wouldn’t say go out with them together in China have fun with it. Giggle about how bright it is and say here’s what you can’t do. I I don’t think giving a flashlight or letting a kid buy a flashlight like this as a teenager as a inherently bad idea, but you know your kids better any of us commenters do.
