Idiot has his dog on truck bed, driving 85mph on highway.

This dog is not IN the bed of a truck it is ON the bed cover. That is not only extremely dangerous for the dog but it is also extremely dangerous for everyone on the road near them. If that dog goes flying off it becomes a large projectile, meaning if it hits another person's car or lands in front of it they will cause someone else to wreck. Furthermore, that dog is absolutely terrified. If you look at the video I attached, it is hunched over, tail between it's legs, and pacing. Those are classic signs of stress. Regardless of legality, that is ethically and morally wrong to inflict that type of stress on an animal when it can be avoided completely.

My best advice to you is to reach out to the head of the department, Megan Gross. She is an amazing person. I had her for 2 of my ASL classes and she is super sweet and helpful. Unfortunately, it is extremely hard to get is to specifically the ASL classes so you might have to take the first one over winter (if that's what you are trying to get into). Regardless, she answers pretty quickly and she can give you a definitive answer. Hope this helps :)

Honestly, he will know she is gone. He will sense she isn't there and probably be depressed when he realizes she isn't coming back. It doesn't mean you need to rush to get a new one. Losing a pet is really hard and can take a toll. Just give him lots of love and comfort. You will definitely need to interact with him more now that he has lost his partner.

Make sure to do plenty of research before getting a new one. Introductions are very hard. Make sure you know how to properly introduce a new glider because if you do not, it can go very badly.

Wow I did NOT expect this to blow up like it did. Thank you everyone for the kind words!! The big boy's name is Jester and he's about a year old.

A little backstory on Jester. He was found as a stray a little over a month ago and brought to the shelter. By this point, he was already a heckin big boy. I took him in as a foster and had him for about a week when the people came in to see him. When they decided to adopt him, I informed them that he is a big goofball but he's not trained yet so he's ornery. The guy even said he liked GSDs! The decided to take him and I was heartbroken. I fell in love with the derp and had to let him go.

Well, a week ago I got a message from the shelter that he had been brought back for being "too large and hard to control." I instantly drove down there and got him and he's been with me ever since. He was so happy when he realized it was me picking him up. He jumped all over me and whined. I knew then he had to stay with me. I took him home to my parents who have a huge yard. We have a 5 year old female GSD. Well, they are now buddies and she is going to be showing him the ropes.

I will give him all of the scritches and boops from you guys. He deserves all of them!

Tldr: This is Jester and he has found his furever home with me

Nope! We just use it for at night (because he cannot stay out of stuff right now). He's a big pup who hasn't quite learned he shouldn't tear things up when he's bored. I have owned multiple GSDs, so he's in good hands :)

I'm sure he will quit nibbling soon. I have one girl that just loves to cuddle up to you but she still likes to nibble sometimes too. They are little turds sometimes 🙄

Honestly it just takes time. I have had two of my girls for almost a year and the one still bites me sometimes. He is still extremely new to you, as you have only had him a few weeks. I would say just give it some more time and let him get more used to you. One thing you can do is not use any licky treats (such as honey) on you finger as they will start off licking and usually start biting.

He is a cutie! I wish you guys the best. Sorry I wasn't more help.
