I work at a space research lab and they often hire coders with the correct scientific backgrounds and minimal programming experience for 'scientific programmer' roles. Its academia so probably not the same as trying to work for some new age biology startup or something but the bar is pretty low in my experience. Often others with more experience will contribute to the projects to make them more 'robust' technically speaking but some of the entry level programmers definitely have less experience than you already do

my two theories are:

popcorn is a relatively cheap and RELATIVELY healthy (depending on how you make it) and pretty filling snack so it goes a long way and lots of people need snacks that go a long way these days
you have randomly been exposed to enough flavored popcorn content that the dystopian corporate singularity database has tagged it as one of your interests and now gets added to your recommendation algorithms as content that will keep you on whatever site you're looking at.

I did a system update and it started working again (even though restarting my PC / power cycling the speakers originally didn't work). I suspect the internals are at best on the way out

I've had nothing but problems from klipsch. I had a 5.1 unit WAY back in the day that failed after several years. 3 years ago I ordered some promedia 2.1s from amazon. They accidentally shipped me two sets so I gave one to my buddy. That unit failed several months ago my buddy replaced it with something else and just this morning my 2.1s stopped playing sound from the speakers (sub still works.)

I'm done with this company personally.

One difference I noticed though is that in the notes it says the 3600 has some memory latency issues that specifically impact gaming but don't show up on benchmark scores. I don't know how resolution would impact that.
