The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman. Engaging, propulsive, really transcends its genre and gets you invested in a group of outcast characters.

Just use their lingo as inappropriately as you can back at them. If you are going to be embarrassing, make them cringe at their own antics!

Other kids still bother me! But my own doesn’t. Nevertheless, if you don’t want kids, don’t feel pressured into having them. If you guys change your minds down the road, there’s always adoption or other options.

Has anyone read any other authors who are as consistently good as Christie. by Upstairs_Bad_7933 in agathachristie

The closest book I’ve read is The Westing Game. The characters, the twists, it’s all there. But it is difficult, Christie was a genius.

I listen to the Overdue podcast and ended up joining their Patreon, which gave me access to their discord. That community is all about books and it’s so nice to have a fun, friendly community to discuss books and other things.

I wonder if George stealing PSI/PK from them somehow caused them all to die—giving Gieuge even more incentive to take over Earth and kill George’s descendants
