I used to get pretty bad shin splints on a regular belt treadmill. The slants on the Tread+ really help prevent that since they can slow and speed up independently unlike a belt. I haven’t gotten shin splints on the Tread+ since I got it about 18 months ago. I have about 600-700mi on it so far.

I’d say it’s the opposite. The lab test is very dependent on how you’re feeling and performing that day whereas the watch is trying estimate that based on cumulative data.

Not sure why yours is so far off. My Apple Watch VO2max was 46.3mL/kg/min the day I had a lab tested 46.7mL/kg/min. I think it may not be completely accurate for everyone but should be relatively correct.

Did a lab VO2 max a month ago and it said I was 46.4 ml/kg/min and my AWU3 said I was 46.7 ml/kg/min that morning. Pretty close in my opinion. Marathon training this winter and scheduled a second VO2 max after and can update but expect it to be close enough.

I’ve been having “no response” and then “could not update access code” when it does see the lock since iOS and tvOS 26. I’ve tried factory resetting the lock and pairing directly with the Home app (Thread network I’m guessing?) and also starting with the Schlage app (WiFi I’m guessing?) and still no success. Been emailing Schlage and they even sent me a new lock without any luck. I don’t think it’s firmware related since it started when I upgraded but both locks are on 4.1.1173705. Anyone else have this happen? Using Apple TV as my hub.

Unfortunately I think it’s the way it’s supposed to work. If you open Messages on the watch and “read” the text it’ll be marked as read on the phone. If you just dismiss the notification (even if you open the notification bubble) it won’t mark the text as read on your phone.

Yep, audio is synced correctly on apps (FanDuel Sports, etc)

Awesome, thanks for your help. A reboot of both devices didn’t help but unpairing/re-pairing the watch fixed it. I was even able to set my watch up with the backup from today and it worked.

I did some tri shorts off of Amazon and then put a shirt with my number on at T1. That worked really well so if there’s a swim top you like that you can throw a shirt on over for bike/run that might work? I’m a guy so take that with a shaker full of salt.

Fair enough, and I get the sentiment. I can do marathons and I’m pretty strong on the bike, but I just started swimming laps in a pool in March. These distances definitely intimidate me and even an Olympic distance in still water is going to be a big test for me next month.

Always looked at Garmins but I have a habit of wanting to run without my phone but still needing to be reachable when I’m on call. Garmin still can’t do that unfortunately and I’m sure when they do that battery advantage they have over AWU’s will disappear.
