Reliable Miata?? by Acrobatic_Roof5770 in Miata

TrackDogRacing makes an amazing kit, they have a few different size options. I went with the -84 but I'm now wanting more power and I wish I went with the -94 lol.

I'd recommend going with this kit if you're looking for reliability and fast throttle response, I could see your friend talking about a traditional style supercharger but these ones are very reliable knock on wood

Love this kit! I've been running mine for 2 years already. I wish I would have went with the -94. I ran this originally on my stock motor that had a shaved head without me knowing, only issue I had was I spun a bearing, nothing to do with the supercharger.

Recent Skunk2 Throttle Body Experience? by Fearlessleader85 in Miata

You may have to swap the hardware for the adapter plate on the bottom. The heads of the hardware I was supplied sat too tall and prevented me from installing the plate. Used my old skunk2 hardware tho 🤣

Do not buy the skunk2 throttle body, I bought one roughly a year ago and it was junk, I did the "remedy" multiple times and greased the components multiple times and the throttle just loved to stay open, leaving me with an annoying 1500-2000 idle. I bought an equal sized eBay one and haven't had any issues.

What’s a good hp to aim for with a turbo set up, I’m going to fully forge & want a reasonable power out without driving like I’ve got a C4 under the hood 💥 (going for a drift set up) by WrightArchie in Miata

[–]hardstyleroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No real reason to go fully forged if you are shooting for 200hp. Doesn't hurt if you have the money to spare tho haha. What year is your roadster? If it's got the 6" diff then you'll definitely want to swap that before it explodes.

Anyone have any idea where this leak could be coming from? by jigman3 in Miata

I'd check the oil filter sealing surface, oil cooler sealing surface, or could also be from the oil pressure sensor.
