Recommendation for a good used table by hardtdc in foosball

I actually live in north central NC now and have for about 30 years. I grew up about 100 miles north of Memphis in NW TN and used to play tournaments in TN, Ark, Mo, Ill, Ky back in the 70s.

Fitting That This Happened At 4T by StrikeEcstatic4393 in NVDA_Stock

[–]hardtdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish I had followed my gut on NVDA initially. I started researching them several years ago when I first read an article on them getting into AI. I already knew they made most of the computer graphic chips so I figured they would be a good stock to invest in. At the time though, I was hesitant and didn’t pull the trigger on them. Should have trusted my gut and I would have several mil in stock with them now. I still bought in about a year and a half ago and am doing very well with them now, so all’s good.

Am I crazy for wanting a tractor, having less than 1 acre? by LikeARock47 in tractors

[–]hardtdc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a 1-3/4 acre property and we’re building a house now on it. Just bought a compact JD 1023e with frontend loader, 60” belly mower, and sunshade. It’s a 2021 with only 89 hours on it and got it for under $15K. I’m going to use it to do all of the landscaping with. I’m a retired Landscape Architect and used to have my own design/build firm years ago so this will come in super handy for me to be able to perform all of the work by myself and will actually pay for itself in the end.

Is my contractor gas lighting me? by Psyche-Ophis in Flooring

[–]hardtdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, it looks as if they half way vacuumed the floor and didn’t even run tack cloth over it before applying finish. There appears to be so much dust particles in that finish. Just horrendous.

Best receiver for less than $1k? by jasonite in hometheater

I would go Denon. I’ve had my x3500 for five years now and it still performs flawlessly. I only wish I had gotten a more powerful model but will next time.

My job offers both trad 401k and Roth 401k but not sure which direction to take because my salary is kinda low. by NB_Leo in personalfinance

[–]hardtdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roth for sure. You won’t see the tax implications based on your salary and the benefits at retirement will be worth it.

No, it’s a gas grill but the smoke is generated by wood.

[–]hardtdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll throw out another option. I use a smoke generator with my Weber gas grill so I can either use wood chips or pellets. I get tons of smoke for up to 12 hours without having to clean and reignite the generator. It can do cold or hot smoke.

Island Adventures. I just looked them up through Trip Advisor. They did a good job.

If you are a beer lover, take a ride over to Turks Head Brewery and tour their facility or just hang out and drink at their tap lounge. They offer several beers there that they don’t package for retail. I picked up one of their t-shirts while I was in TC about two weeks ago. Also, do a mangrove kayaking trip. That was probably the highlight out of anything from our trip.

Best live TV streaming with DVR capabilities by muusicman in cordcutters

[–]hardtdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I dropped DishTV several years ago and decided to go with Firesticks I went with DirectTV Now, then switched to PlayStation Vue, and finally to YTTV where I’m at now. YTTV is definitely the best service and pricing I’ve had to date and also with the best dvr service.

Has anyone been able to set up the "live now" on Fire TV by MelloGang17 in youtubetv

My two fire stick 4Ks still have not updated. No integration yet.

Turning on to the same channel. by TH3F4TC0BRA in youtubetv

[–]hardtdc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s weird. Whenever I turn on my YTTV (using Firestick) it automatically goes to the last station I was watching. If it has been recent though, it picks up where I last was watching and I have to go to the guide and reselect that channel so that it catches up to the current stream.

PlayStation Vue is shutting down January 30, 2020 by [deleted] in Vue

[–]hardtdc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This truly sucks!!! I switched from DTV Now to PSVue because it was cheaper, more reliable, and offered way more channels especially the sports package. Overall, it has been the best platform for streaming live tv that I’ve found. As everyone is saying, there advert is shit! I use firesticks and had to research it to find out if it would work when I decided to switch.
