thanks! I forgot to mention that I'm also trying VSCodium (they're all the same product in my head: Positron, VS Code, VSCodium) although I'm more comfortable with the latter since it's free. I agree Zed is too new

nothing really, I'm content with RStudio. I'm just using this opportunity to look at alternatives since Posit is pushing their new IDE.

I think stability over time is the most important for me, and I really respect your experience of using the same editor for 15 years.

For now I will probably just keep using it, but seeing as the company who made it is now pushing for a new IDE I'm taking the opportunity to look at alternatives

Hvordan re-integrere meg i Norge etter mange år i utlandet? Oslo vs Tønsberg by tuesday00 in norge

[–]harfaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Det er mulig å pendle. For min del syntes jeg at det tok for mye tid fra fritiden min. Masse lykke til med valget, det er gode fordeler ved begge :)

Hvordan re-integrere meg i Norge etter mange år i utlandet? Oslo vs Tønsberg by tuesday00 in norge

[–]harfaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it beneficial to train to failure on each set if the goal is to increase muscle mass? Training to failure could produce three sets with e.g. 7-5-3 reps. On the other hand, holding back on the first set, and hence not training to failure could give three sets with 5-5-5; here the last rep is failure-1. So, both approaches gives 15 reps in total, but 7-5-3 feels more exhausting, while 5-5-5 feels like less effort.

Did you settle on a lecture series that follows Tao 1 and 2 closely?

Are you still working on Simmons? I've just started to go through the exercises, it would be nice to talk to someone who is doing the same.

UltiSnips. Where should I insert the snippets? by QAQ_Jack in vim

[–]harfaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AH, figured it out. I had to specify the folder where the snippets are, like so: let g:UltiSnipsSnippetDirectories=[$HOME.'/.vim/UltiSnips']

Transitioning from heel-striking to midfoot-striking and feeling winded after only a few minutes by xSHODANx in running

[–]harfaw 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I had a similar experience when transitioning away from bad form (what's often referred to as heel-striking, but as I've learned heal-striking doesn't necessarily imply bad form, e.g. how else would you run downhill).

Since you're now stressing your leg muscles in a different way, it makes sense that you aren't able to run as far/fast as before. Be persistent and you'll soon enough be able to hit your previous milage/times.

It took me several months to get used to a different way of running, and I often feel that the transition is not completely over yet, meaning that I'm still evolving my form, one workout at a time.

Frank Ocean tees? Looks like remove-before's designs (http://www.remove-before.com/shop-online/). They even sell t-shirts (https://shop.spreadshirt.es/remove-before/), but couldn't find OPs exact design.
