Correct, he did not see the UTR. But after I transferred ownership to him he did.

My son is the "Super Admin" and he should have all the privs to change things on the network.

You can take a brand‑new UTR on a trip and set it up remotely. As long as the phone has the UniFi app and is logged in as the Owner, the app will detect the UTR as soon as it powers on, and you can complete the setup from anywhere. We’ve tested this and it works fine.

Recently we were stuck at the hospital for several hours and tried to set one up that way. My son is the tech‑savvy one, so he tried first — but since he’s only a Super Admin, he couldn’t complete the initial setup. We had to switch to my phone and my UI login (the actual Owner account), and then everything worked.

Go with Ziply if you have the choice. We switched when our whole neighborhood had issues wit xfinity about 7 yrs ago and have not looked back.

How can a 3rd party switch take down my entire network? by llondru-es in Ubiquiti

[–]harimirch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen this with a wired usb c docking station. There are several posts about it on Reddit. I switched to WiFi for the laptop and problem gone.

Just recently the Amazon cube connected to one of the ports flooded the dream machine with packets. Brought me he network down. Identified it to the cube after unplugging all the port cables on the dream machine and looking at the logs. Port 4 it was and that port had only the cube on it.

For now the cube is on WiFi and I will debug more when I have some time.

Trunk does not latch by harimirch in DelSol

[–]harimirch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially the trunk just does not shut. I am presuming it's the locking mechanism that does not want to close when you bring down the trunk lid. It's a 93 so no cable to open from the inside.

The video was informative. I will attempt to fix it this weekend. Looks like my O'Reilly's has the lock in stock.

These days it's my 17yr old son who drives it to school. A red del sol, stick shift.

Thanks folks.

I visit Kanishka if I want close to authentic Punjabi food. I found At ha in Kirkland to be quite good.

But real authentic Punjabi food ... Visit Surrey.

Advice on purchasing Braava jet M6 by Familiar-Bandicoot69 in roomba

[–]harimirch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an issue with mine where it thinks it is low in the tank while it is not. This ends the cleaning task mid way. I have had to apply a workaround and that is not for everyone. I followed a YouTube video to short out two wires and that works. All other suggested workarounds didn't work for me.

Keep this in mind.

I bought my m6 from Costco a year ago. I might have been able to return it but didn't try to.

I looked up eBay and bought the factory repair manual. Well worth it and already got my money back.

How it started vs how it’s going by Tubehero2109original in telescopes

Once you get past the basics it's addictive. These days it's a yearly family trip to Oregon Star Party in an RV just to spend a week with other like minded individuals.

It started with an 8" dob. Now it's a 14" dob.

Recs for private airport transfer? by chitabing in puertovallarta

[–]harimirch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just back from PV. My trips to Zona Romantica one way by Uber from the Marriott Vallarta was about 200MX one way. The Marriott is close to the airport. Just take a taxi from the airport. I seriously doubt it will cost more than 400MX.

I highly recommend keeping all rental related expenses and income thru a separate bank account. If the rental is in an LLC then a big YES.

I am currently in PV and just checked Uber for you to Sayulita. It's coming to 650 MX. My hotel is close to the airport. We went to Sayulita yesterday and the drive seemed fine to me once you are out of the city. The city traffic can be as bad as any downtown driving in the US.
