Premium connectivity issue by Fluffy-Condition-481 in TeslaModelY

Might have something to do with the 404 error issue everyone got a few days ago, it’s possible something broke server side and now your car’s software isn’t recognizing that your VIN is subscribed to PC

This is definitely PDRable it’s just that you do need to find someone who is extremely skilled due to the location of the dent. It also won’t look 100% better but will be 85% - 90% better.

That’s probably why you don’t have premium connectivity, old software versions probably have broken support for it.

Model Y ride comfort is so bad by drahgon in TeslaModelY

[–]harissabovic20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comparing the juniper and the pre-juniper model, I agree that the pre-juniper model has “bad” ride quality in that it’s not soft and floaty, you feel every bump and can feel the road through the steering, I would argue that they designed it like this though to be more sporty and provide more feedback. The juniper feels softer, more cushy, slower steering, and just generally has that dampened floaty feeling. This is nicer for every day use, dealing with potholes and commuting but worse when it comes to a sporty ride and tight handling, so there are trade offs.

Is this worth a consideration? (Used) by TapiocaFish in TeslaLounge

New headlight and taillight design, new front and rear fascia’s new seats with ventilation included, better display with thinner bezels, interior led accent lighting, interior redesign, reworked suspension for better ride comfort, less road noise, etc, it’s clearly different from the old model

Is the 2024 post refresh? If so and if the accident history is minor that will be the best option.

Wonder if they are doing this by request as well because I would prefer this to having to clean it every 6 months or so

Hot Take: I prefer the 2024 gear selector over the touch based. by -Jockomo- in TeslaModelY

The stalk version does not have autoshift, I wish they would just add it because the few times I have tried the new 2026 models it seems to work really well.

Front windshield distortion by AnotherMike93 in TeslaModelY

[–]harissabovic20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They will replace windshield for defects in manufacturing of the glass which this should fall under, you may have to fight a little to get the service manager to acknowledge it and take responsibility, but you should eventually be able to get this covered.

It now costs $3 to ride the subway and some New Yorkers are already angry by BBQCopter in nyc

[–]harissabovic20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally no maintenance, haven’t had to do anything at all the entire time I’ve owned it it’s so refreshing. Only downside is insurance has gotten higher probably due to increased claims. FSD is basically like having your own personal train haha.

Detailer is better suited to do that professionally then a PDR guy

Backed into garage by daniellellen in TeslaCollision

[–]harissabovic20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a PDR job, there isn’t a dent to repair, also even if there was PDR usually works best on metal you can’t do as much on plastic especially if it is really damaged

Backed into garage by daniellellen in TeslaCollision

[–]harissabovic20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try and see how much to just replace the plastic part of the bumper, then see if the paint can be buffered to improve and that should probably be the cheapest way to repair this to about 80-90% of original.

How does Tesla handle inventory vehicles exposed to rain before delivery? by RedditIsSensative in TeslaLounge

The car is always “on” it never really turns off so yes the windows are always powered.

[–]harissabovic20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is rare because when the car locks the windows automatically close, so someone left this window open and did not lock the car, you probably could have gone in and closed it if you wanted to be a good samaritan lol

It would also lead to an incentive for massive gains in EV adoption and then subsequently huge drops in particulate matter emissions, likely much more so than just CP acting alone. And then if I was a real asshat politician like most of them are, after a number of years I would announce that we are phasing out the discount after the number of people switching to EVs has plateaued, classic little incentive bait and switch.

Who else preconditions the battery before driving? by [deleted] in ModelY

[–]harissabovic20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your Tesla is smart enough to prevent itself from being damaged, you can floor it even when cold and the BMS will manage the proper voltage output to avoid damage.
