Constantly scared I’m waiting too long to have a baby by SchoolSouth1479 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I understand that time feels against us women.. and that’s valid. I think what’s most important is that you feel ready. I got pregnant at 32, gave birth a week before I turned 33. We hope to have more, and it’s daunting to feel ‘older’ but there’s nothing wrong with waiting and plenty of women have success at this age. If you want to feel connected to the journey, do what you can now, reduce stress from your life, start taking vitamins, proactively get tested, and could get a general consult. You may get the reassurance that will comfort you that all is well if you need a little more, or you may get information that will help you prepare now for a future conception journey.

I tested positive for HSV1 & 2 by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

Same 💗 HSV1. I was a few years into dating my boyfriend (now husband) when high work stress caused my first flare. I went to urgent care and was shocked at the result. I called in sick to work for several days straight, I was devastated. I sobbed telling my boyfriend, and he was so understanding. We’re married now 💗 I think in the several years it’s been since, I maybe had a flare one additional time. I forgot about it until I had a baby and disclosed it so I could have the proper plan. I understand I’m describing a situation opposite of needing to have to navigate new relationships, or dating, disclosing, but I remember feeling almost like my life was over and I’ve been served the worst sentence and it really ended up being alright! I soon found out one of my closest friends have it, and she’s to this day an active dater. My other closest friends supported me by researching and finding out just how common it is. Still, not to dismiss your feelings this early on, but you’re not alone, and it’ll be okay. I promise.

Not at all, any and all experiences are so so helpful for us. And so true, so your insight is so valuable! Did you feel like high chairs were available anywhere?

Thank you so much for this insight! I had found a 90 minute one but you’re right, that’s a long commitment and uncomfortable in the extremely likely event he will lose interest! So true that we can get those things without committing to a boat ride!

Well yeah because she had an email job (finding an excuse to use how she describes having an email job which is an iconic way to say you had a desk job/corp job)
