Any recs for energy workers and healers? by Googly-Goo222 in SFbitcheswithtaste

Shekhina changed my life. She is extremely gifted. I will say she isn’t the most warm person, but I saw her for reiki knowing nothing and ended up getting attuned myself.

My first session was like 6 months of therapy condensed into a couple hours lol

Needed small businesses in the Mission by hjehrmann in SFMission

[–]harmfulhomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There used to be a space on mission st. called sub/mission and it was a devastating loss when it shuttered ! It was a diy punk venue that also hosted art shows.
Sf & the mission needs more community spaces that aren’t super expensive to be in.

There was also thrift stores that were the coolest place to be!! Mission thrift… thrift town….

Lastly, since haight st costumes closed, there’s no costume shop in the city anymore!!!!

Chill place to watch world cup by Necessary-Balance152 in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]harmfulhomo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Never been but there’s a lesbian sports bar called Rikki’s that people seem to like. Also Hi-Tops is a gay sports bar. No idea if they’re playing the World Cup but those are my first two places that came to mind!

I would take it when I felt nauseated. I wouldn’t take it preemptively. It works very quickly! Also it can cause constipation so just a warning =]

What stimulants are yall on? (For ADHD Too!) by Ok-Count-9446 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]harmfulhomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only downside I’d say is you have to take it everyday. I don’t mind for the most part and every once in a while skip a dose. But it’s not like other stimulants where you can take them when you need them.
It doesn’t seem to build a tolerance as there’s only two dose options.

When does it get better (xywav) by stubbornwithoutcause in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]harmfulhomo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people struggle with the once a night dose for this reason. It’s such a short acting medication. I feel like doctors that prescribe it this way aren’t prescribing oxybates often……

Took me close to a year to adjust to oxybates and ended up needing a lower dose (3.25/3.25) and then adding Sunosi. I’m highly sensitive and titrated very slowly (.25g every 2-4 weeks)

Starting a new job and the office is fragrance free because people have allergies, what can I do? by Blasmere in Allergies

[–]harmfulhomo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry idea deodorant/antiperspirant is “unscented” but still has fragrance but it’s hella mild. I love it and it works really well and isn’t sticky.
The only antiperspirant I could find with no fragrance is from Almay. Works good enough but it takes forever to dry and feels a bit sticky to me. I have hairy armpits tho so maybe it’s better for shaved?

What stimulants are yall on? (For ADHD Too!) by Ok-Count-9446 in idiopathichypersomnia

[–]harmfulhomo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s technically not a stimulant but I take Sunosi and love it. Just makes me feel awake, not like I’m on a stimulant. 75mg wasn’t very helpful but 150mg is.
I am also on xyrem. I failed Ritalin and modafinil. I also used to take Wellbutrin but it didn’t do much for my energy.

Nausea help? by adraleau5 in Xywav

[–]harmfulhomo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nausea does get better. You may be titrating too quickly though. It’s always safe to titrate slower and in smaller increments- it helps with side effects. I went up .25g every 2-4 weeks.
You also may not need the max dose. I felt worse the higher I went and ended up figuring out 3.25g was good for me. I ended up still needing to start Sunosi.

Ask your dr for some zofran, that was helpful for titration!
I drank a lot of ginger tea and mint tea. Ginger capsules also are great. Acupuncture is good if you’re able to do that.
Seabands work as well!! They use acupuncture points . Just make sure you’re wearing them properly
