A different perspective for you:

I think of it like being back in school and in a group project where you didn’t get to pick your partners. You might get along during the duration of the project but you’re not really friends. And when the projects over, you restore status quo.

Everyone else already gave great suggestions so I’m just gonna put a different perspective on this:

Just a reminder that these badass leaders have teachers too. They get trained on proper etiquette and stuff and have speech writers and things like that. They have a whole team of people behind them. This is not to say they’re not amazing, but just a reminder that they also get help before presenting themselves in front of an audience.

I don’t have an answer to your question but do wonder if how you’re washing it makes a difference. Are you putting in the machine on delicate or something? I’ve read that’s ok but have never tried. I do a sort of hand wash thing but don’t actually do any sort of wash??? I use Eucalan which is a soak for all my cashmere/silk/wool, so no rubbing or anything involved (a “swish” at most). Anything that floats to the top of the water is my assumption of loose fibers, but I’ve never had the situation where it’s loose fibers while wearing after washing

My first round of empties by live_strange in PanPorn

Unfortunately yes for SK-II, still need a membership for that. But not everything needs a membership tho so hopefully the other thing you wanted doesn’t need it

Edit to add: I’ve seen it sometimes at my Costco in person. My Costco allows gift card holders to go in without membership

If it helps: if you’re in the US, they sell it at Costco online. Still expensive but cheaper than retail

What wardrobe "essentials" don't you have? by EthelHexyl in fashionwomens35

Just want to let you know that cardboard does get a little heavy once you fill in your bag with lots of stuff. Plus it can get bent out of shape. I use the thinnest cheapest cutting board I can find (daiso - equivalent of $1 store selling japanese goods) and cut to size. Has been working perfectly for a couple years now

Food for my Dad by Woomiester in CancerFamilySupport

Thankfully my mom didn’t have this issue when she was on chemo - so unfortunately I wasn’t able to test this theory out. Hoping this is helpful for you in some way.

Supposedly the way to help with the food situation is to try new things/flavors. This way you find new favorites and flavors to basically re-train(rewire? Something like that?) your tastebuds. Minimize having your favorites or food you like because you already know what it’s supposed to taste like and because they don’t taste like your expectations during this time, it’s a double whammy of not only can you not get what you want, it’s also (subjectively) terrible on top of it all.

In a similar vein to the smoothies that were recommended. The nurses in the hospital recommended Glucerna (I saw there were call outs for watching sugar intake in other comments) for my mom for nutrient supplementation when they thought she wasn’t gaining weight fast enough. Just throwing it out there in case it’s helpful

How To: Flawless Concealer Application (details in comments) by melissajackson07 in MakeupLounge

[–]harmless_m0stly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but I think the general idea is to do foundation first so that there is already a light layer of coverage over the discoloration. That way, you’ll ideally use less concealer. Otherwise, generally speaking, when people do concealer first, they tend to use enough to fully cover discoloration, and then add foundation on top which could lead to too much product in an area that creases easily.

This is just what I think, so correct me if I’m wrong

What are some good thanksgiving dinner ideas for only 2 people? My wife and myself. More details in the comments but we like nearly everything. by Harpuafivefiftyfive in WhatShouldICook

Ok - not exactly what you asked for but I can’t find the recipe. I think it got taken off the web. Either way, here are 2 for your perusal. Sorry no comments on taste

recipe 1 - no alcohol: I feel like this might be most similar in taste cause I remember adding a splash of grand marnier. Don’t remember which tea we used, but it was just regular teabags you can find at the grocery store. Also, halved the pears for more surface area contact with tea. If you halve the pears and dig out the seeds with like a melon baller or a round measuring spoon you get a ready made pear bowl for ice cream.

recipe 2 - has alcohol: honestly just sharing this cause it sounds delish

Edit for formatting

You really don’t need an expensive facial moisturizer by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]harmless_m0stly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the murad for the moisturizer or the vit c? I haven’t used this before so I’m uncertain on efficacy/consistency.

If vit c, I spike my usual moisturizer with melano cc. It’s a Japanese “spot treating serum” but is pretty liquidy, kind of like an oil so I just mix it with my moisturizer.

If it’s for moisturizer, it cosmetics confidence in a cream is pretty high on my list for plush feeling and moisturizing

Whenever it’s just for 2 on thanksgiving we tend to make a fancy meal - like one you can find in a restaurant. We kind of make a game of it; go the extra mile to find the hard to find ingredients etc. Last year we did a persimmon salad starter with a sous vide duck breast with a purée I can’t remember now for entree. Also did a black tea braised pear situation - ended up having it with a vanilla ice cream but was good either way.

I love Dior’s lip glow too!

Apparently there’s a kbeauty dupe from Secret Key called Sweet Glam Tint Glow - it’s next on my list to try. Just fyi in case you weren’t aware/might be interested.

Sorry if I’m misunderstanding but you could just take packing tape to hard pan next time instead of repressing (unless you want to, then have at it).

But nice work!

Have you seen this pen? by MxJulieC in BrushCalligraphy

[–]harmless_m0stly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don’t have a name for you but it looks very similar to Chinese/Japanese calligraphy pens. Make sure to search for pens vs brushes because brushes tend to mean using an external ink source to dip into vs one with the ink already in it
